An upscale but friendly restaurant, Rio has a relaxed in an upscale setting. The food is Mexican, not tex-mex. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I had the impression the place is family run. We will definitely be going back.Vegetarian options: I noted some dishes have portobello mushrooms as the "meat" option. Other dishes had all vegetable options.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu has a good selection. The food comes on a divided plate in case you have a picky eater.

We ordered the vegan nachos but were brought regular nachos instead. Then the second time the nachos were brought to us it was missing the beyond meat we ordered for it. Our server did not check on us and did not even take our entree order because he was too busy hanging out with the other staff so my boyfriend had to approach him to let me know that we were leaving. No one apologized. One of the worse dining experiences of my life. We were really excited to try this place but unfortunately now we’ll never come back.

Went for dessert and coffee with a friend. We couldn't choose between desserts, so we tried all 3.The churros were soft and filled with a delicious caramel ? they were also served with a salted Carmel ice cream, which was the perfect compliment.Then we had the tres leches cake which was good too.But the Nutella flan was right up my alley. A different spin on one of my favorite classics.There was not one bad dessert but I would say the churros were definitely my fave.

If I could give 10 stars I would! We went to the tree trails adventure and we were starving after. One of the employees told us about Rio Salado and I’m so glad he did. I think we ordered one of everything on the menu and everything was awesome! Our server was super nice. He greeted us, made conversation and made sure we loved our food. The restaurant was very clean, not quiet but not loud at all which is nice. Sometimes with open floor plans it can get too noisy but they have mastered the relaxed atmosphere with great food and drinks. We live about 45 mins away but we are definitely going back!
