Was in need of a comforting, cozy atmosphere so I had to make another trip to Changmai. Service was prompt and so friendly, nothing better than a humble local spot for some good authentic Thai food. Will be back again

12.24.23 This is going to be one of those I can't believe I haven't posted a review for this place yet, even after the dozens of times I've been here over the last handful of years. This is Naugatuck's hidden gem. They most definitely deserve the accolades. A family run Asian business. Need I say more? I've encountered most of if not all of their family members at some point. They're always so sweet kind and patient. They are all so genuine & kindhearted people. Their are very hospitable. It does take a little bit longer at times for you to receive your food but it's worth it. They're making it to order and it's always fresh. They don't have a lot of staff working with them usually. I have tried many different menu items and i can truly say I've never been disappointed. The inside is ornately decorated with something interesting everywhere you look. The ambiance is casual & friendly from the moment you walk in and get sat. Nice relaxing vibe. The Thai iced tea is a great starter. It goes great with their Larb. Yummers. The Thai crispy egg rolls are great too with the fish sauce. There are some lunch specials that are very inexpensive they run Monday thru Friday but I prefer most of the items from their regular menu. Let's just say the lunch specials i have had weren't my favorite items from their menu. My favorite is their Lad Naah with the side noodles, Chinese broccoli & the gravy. Serious yummers. IMO. For real. Almost forgot about the Sai Ghock which was delicious too. It's home made. But My all time fav is the mango sticky rice of course. This is drool worthy yumms :-) The parking situation is very easy. There's parking on both sides of the street and a large parking lot across the street for many of the surrounding businesses. Also forgot to mention their prices which are very reasonable for the product that you receive. They never rush you out of there like some places do. You'll always leave feeling replenished & happy.

2nd time's a charm here at this place and was not disappointed .located right in the middle of downtown naugatuck .We had the sampler platter to start with which included two peppered shrimp rolls two spring rolls 3 fried shumai and 3 Rangoons with two kinds of sweet chili sauces.the drunken noodles with beef and the pineapple rice with chicken ......all fresh and well prepared as last time .definitely be a return sometime maybe in the spring where you can enjoy the walk downtown naugatuck's many shops other restaurants and sights ...don't forget to order their Thai ice tea to go with the meal !!!!!!!!Parking: Weekends are free parking

Cute place. Great Thai food for the area. Terrible service especially when they’re busy. Phone is constantly busy and when I walked in to order carry out, the front end essentially told me they were “so busy” and to come back another time. I’ll think twice before ordering here again (or come at off peak hours).

Great food. Attentive service. Clean and welcoming. They have simple but pleasing decor and some of the best Thai food in the area. We ate Summer Rolls, Curry Puffs, Sausage, Chicken Larb, Green and Red Curry, and Pad Thai. Everything was very fresh and delicious.
