From the moment we stepped into this quaint Italian bistro, we knew we were in for a treat. The warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for what was to be an unforgettable dining experience.I opted for the homemade rigatoni with Pomodoro sauce, adding meatballs to my dish. The rigatoni was perfectly al dente and the Pomodoro sauce bursting with the fresh flavors of sun-ripened tomatoes, basil, and a hint of garlic. My wife's choice was equally impressive - homemade fettuccine with truffle. The fettuccine was expertly crafted, tender yet firm, and the truffle added an exquisite depth of flavor that elevated the dish to new heights. It was clear that the ingredients were of the highest quality and the dishes were prepared with a lot of care and passion. But what truly set our experience apart was the outstanding service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their offerings. They made us feel welcomed and valued, enhancing our dining experience. We ended the evening with what might have been the best tiramisu we’ve had.Highly recommend.

Very good blueberry scone and large cappuccino from Dolce in New Cannan Nice little Italian Cafe on Elm St. The scone was good. Good flavor, moist and they serve it a bit warm. Cappuccino was very good. Hit the spot for that caffeine fix. They have all your favorite Italian coffee options. Didn't have time to speak to the staff here. Not sure if they make their pastries in house. Seems most of them are made in house. However, for an Italian cafe I didn't really see any authentic Italian pastries available. The menu looks fantastic, offering a variety of breakfast and lunch options. I'll have to come back for one of those panini sandwiches. Be prepared though, prices are a bit steep for the options offered. Certainly a nice place, small and very inviting. The staff behind the counter is super friendly. It's order at counter service then sit down to enjoy. Not a lot of seats which made for a warm, small town atmosphere. Great place to stop by while in town. I would recommend stopping by for a bite. Buon Appetito! #fairfieldcountywineanddinejournal

Awesome breakfast sandwiches and crepes (try a ham, egg and cheese on a Portuguese roll). Quick and friendly service. Best coffee around. This is a can't-miss spot on Elm Street, especially in the warmer months when you can take advantage of the spacious sidewalk seating.

What an unexpected hidden gem! Glad I hadn’t seen some of the earlier reviews or I might have missed out on a fantastic meal and overall experience. Delightfully varied and creative menu with something for everyone, child friendly but also quirkily romantic. We were just passing through, but if we lived in town or within 30 minutes we’d be there all the time. Cozy little place that I’m still thinking about days later.

BIG 5/5. We're pretty picky, and to us this place is way underrated by some other reviews. The place is a small delight -- and I wonder if some of the less-than-great impressions were due to the smallness. Wonderful creative menu, with something for everybody (including me, who's vegetarian), everything wonderfully done. Service was friendly, comfortable, and perfectly paced. Don't miss the "Grilled Bread" -- totally not to be missed. (I'm not kidding.)

Great coffee but the caprese sandwich was basically a piece of bread with a slim piece of cheese inside on a big plate. huh?

A new found gem! My mom and I ate inside- got a panini and a salad which we both loved, followed by a delicious crepe. Got some Nutella doughnuts to go and they were phenomenal - one of the best I have ever had / so fresh. Food came out promptly and the staff was very sweet and friendly. Highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options

Overpriced crepes and paninis. I got the blackened chicken panini and It was just deli meat with some seasoning that tried to give it a blackened chicken flavor. Not real blackened chicken. The ham and cheese crepe was also very disappointing, very little cheese and crepe not very tasty.

Avocado toast was a disappointment, so was grill cheese sandwich for kids. They could have used fresh avocado instead of pre packaged, funny tasting avocado paste.

I had the worst crepe I have ever had in my life. It was a vegetables crepe. The crepe itself was bland--oversized and folded like a napkin with about as much flavour as that. The vegetable contents were what were truly atrocious--a tiny amount of mixed vegetables, cut small with no sauce but abominably salty. I didn't want to make a fuss so I just ate it quickly and left, but will never go back there.
