The burger was the most delicious in the area! The servers were so kind and elevated our experience through recommendations & replacements for a vegetarian in our party. We arrived 30 mins early for our reserved time and the host sat us down at an empty table, served us drinks, and made sure we were alright (but we were EARLY and they accommodated US - you never see this). What a wonderful place. 5/5!

On a date night, service was perfect. They kept us taken care of without being obtrusive. Food was special, wine was just right. Be sure to ask for a table near the front where the sight lines are better.

Best brunch in Fairfield County! From the tuna tartare and crispy salmon tacos to the Caesar salad, turkey club and grilled branzino, everything we ordered was fresh, homemade and 100% delicious. Plus, Hector is a whiz behind the bar with his creative cocktails.

Came for “the best burger in CT” and Elm didn’t disappoint. Burgers came in under 10 minutes and we finished them in under 5. So juicy and so flavorful. One complaint is the bottom bun could be a little thicker- but other than that my family and I left with a WOW impression.

It was quite loud, but not scene-y at all. Be aware that there are clearly some very bad tables, so request ahead of time that you not be seated right in front of the bathroom/bussing station.Vegetarian options: They were able to make quite a few vegetarian and vegan options.

Husband's 40th bday. Initial $75 steak came out totally grey and not seared. Was clearly a poor piece of meat. The replacement sirloin had fat running through it halfway through and was also inedible. The restaurant did not make us pay for the steaks (which they shouldn't have) but could have done more. Clearly the meat quality and chef was not up to par especially for the price. Could have gotten something better at Applebees. Disappointing given it was a special occasion with multiple mishaps.

We were a party of 4 celebrating a special occasion. We dine regularly at Cottage and were anticipating a similar experience of excellent food. 2 of had the Branzino and 2 of us ordered the Morel Risotto. All were just average and the Risotto was particularly flavorless. At $48, that is beyond “precious”. Needless and sorry to say, we won't be returning to Elm.

Fantastic food (maybe the best chicken dish I've ever had). Great service. Enjoyable atmosphere. Only con is it is way too loud in here. I could barely hear a thing from the other people at the table. Would definitely come back though.

Extremely disappointing experience. Which is a shame because I did enjoy the majority of my meal the prior time I had dined here. Will not return.

I can’t speak highly enough about Elm - from the delicious food, to the level of care provided by every staff member, to the exceptional cocktails and hospitality provided by Hector @ the bar. We choose Elm time and time again to celebrate our most special milestones and memories, including our engagement party. 10/10 recommend Elm once and promise you won’t want to go anywhere else.

We love the Elm but like many popular restaurants in New Canaan and surrounding areas the noise level is high-price you pay for popularity for having great food and service! The Elm staff met our request to move our table to a slightly quieter area, which we appreciated very much!

We went for Lunch on a Wednesday. Very good menu for lunch ranging from sandwiches to complete main dishes. The sides were outstanding, the filet mignon grilled nicely but the best of all was the amazing soup - a tomato based bisque like! I had the 3 course lunch menu - so small bowl of soup, the chicken brown rice bowl and cookies - Delicious! Great service, priced well for the quality of the food.

Loved the food (what we had of it) We were rushed out of the place. Wanted a coursed dinner (for a special occasion) and before we could finish the course before the rest of the food was out. Had to practically take home a $300 meal. We didn't even get dessert because it was awkward and I felt as that would be an imposition. Not very good service. No manager around to even speak to. Just ruined the whole experience for me and my guest.
