Although PARK is a beer garden/bar space, their food is amazing!! Definitely better than your average bar fare -- small but solid selection of German-style eats. The bratwurst sausage was meaty and flavorful. It came with a buttered and toasted brioche bun (great sausage to bread ratio!), sautéed peppers and a spicy mustard. After first reading about this place in the New Haven Independent, I decided to troop out here at my earliest convenience. That time happened to be when the temperature had nosedived down in the mid-20s, but it turned out to have been totally worth indulging my curiosity. What once was just a parking garage has been turned into a wonderful new addition to the city. The space is open and inviting, with plenty of seating to go around. Okay, this is definitely an awesome new spot! Previously a parking garage, the neon sign has been reinvented as the name for this beer garden on Crown St. The front, long room has a gigantic living plant wall and lots of couches, chairs and tables. The front 'window' is actually a garage door, which I'm hoping they would open up in the summer (like they do next door at BAR).
