The wings are so good. We were in town visiting family, and they took us here to try the wings. It's an old establishment with a lot of character. The staff was very friendly and they seated us pretty quickly. We all got wings. They came out hot and covered in sauce. I got the mango habenero sauce, and it was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The wings were large in size, too. An order of 7 was enough to fill me up. They had a good selection of beers, too. Give it a try if you are looking for a historic pub with great food and spirits.

This is my third time eating here and I’ve been disappointed every time. Fries are disgusting and the chicken sandwich has my stomach hurting. I don’t understand why my husband likes this place. Find better takeout materials ordered takeout and my fries tasted raw and my chicken looked crunchy but was soggy as hell there is no reason the Chinese place got better fries and y’all charge more.
Very high quality pub fare. The wings, while available in many types, were Buffalo for us. Legitimate quality wings. French onion soup was solid. The staff could not have been nicer. Wish they were in my town.Saw a very nice beer list as well. Couple next to us had the bbq special which looked epic.
Excellent New Haven institution! The Mahi Mahi sandwich was delicious. Second visit had a steak sandwich and that too was very good!

I genuinely hate having to give Archie Moore's this review, but enough is enough; I have only been here for 5 months, and I have seen the prices here go from reasonable to pricey to outrageous. I understand inflation, and I understand that things cost more these days, but the prices here are rising MUCH quicker and higher than what the community can support. Honestly, this is a great bar with very good food, but they are charging fine dining prices. Because of the most recent spike in prices, this is no longer my neighborhood go-to.
