Fresh-baked whole wheat bread -- yum! Why is that so hard to find these days? My first visit was yesterday, and I see a nice deli selection of veggie ingredients too. I'll definitely be back to try that out ... and pick up more bread!

What a wonderfully charming lunch spot! There are tables here to eat in, and a very interesting selection of sandwiches and salads. The baked goods also are delicious, including the homemade bread. The service is warm and attentive. And the place is also spotlessly clean. I tried the place after getting a recommendation from an acquaintance. It's definitely worth a visit and I will be back again very soon!

Great experience! Excellent food like grandma makes. Everything is made in store including all breads and desserts. A great place to catch up with old friends or to enjoy a nice treat and chat with lived ones. They also cater the finest events as well as the backyard BBQ. DEFINITELY worth stopping in and checking out!Vegetarian options: Most of the soups, and there is an equal variety (that varies) between proteins And Veggies. Also there are fish dishes for those who only eat fish

This lunch spot is hands down our favorite to visit in New Haven! It's located right on State Street, and inside is super cozy and quaint. Their staff are so helpful and welcoming. Ask them about any of the dishes, and you'll get an enthusiastic description and a beautiful plate. Everything here is made from scratch including their warm loaves of bread, delicious chicken pot pie, interesting quiches, homemade soups, salads, and gorgeous desserts. Love, love love and will be back for sure next time we travel to the Shoreline!
