Horrible food. Unpleasant service. The only thing that was okay was the location and fast service. But those two things alone will never get me to go back. The fish was over cooked on the outside. Undercooked on the inside. No flavor. It was worse than a no name brand of microwavable fish from Aldi's. The half chicken was under cooked. I asked for fried hard/well. No flavor. Complete disappointment. This is the 3rd time trying different things over the last year. All 3 were extremely bad experiences. Won't give them a 4th try.

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This is your classic American Chinese spot. No frills but the food was on point and the service was quick. I had the orange chicken and it was delicious. Prices are great. Don’t be scared off by the bad reviews.

Pros:- Price. Lunch specials like the one I ordered are $8.75. Other than fast food, you can't get a much better price than that!- Main dish. I got General Tso's chicken as my lunch special; it tasted great and had a decent amount of sauce. It comes with pork-fried rice, which was also good.- Portions. It was enough food to satisfy; no small pieces of chicken, and they didn't cheap out by swapping half the rice with vegetables as some places do.Cons:- Wonton soup. The wontons were OK, but the broth had no flavor whatsoever. It was a lot yellower than most, too, which couldn't have been a good sign. So definitely get a drink on the side instead of soup.- Service. With the lunch special being $8.75, my total should've been $9.31, but the lady asked me for a $10 and then didn't give change for it. She was not outwardly rude, and I just didn't feel like arguing over 69 cents at the time, but it's still a bit of a gripe for me personally.Comments:Overall, China King was an adequate experience. I would give this place 3 stars, but people tend to see that as below-average, and this wasn't. It was decent, only it could be better. Will be going again because of its proximity to Gateway, where I take classes in the afternoon, so hopefully I'll come back with even better news to update this review with.

Absolutely terrible. I spent $18 on chicken wings and a combination plate shrimp egg foo Yung and pork fried rice. Absolutely disgusting. 2 shrimp on each pattie. Hardly no pork the chicken wings were refried. I got all the way home in another city and was very disappointed. I had to force myself to eat it. Never again. It was 10pm at night still no excuse.
Be careful, you might get sick! I ordered chicken with broccoli and beef with broccoli. Both smelled funny and tasted terrible. Some of the chicken was also undercooked. I don't know why this place is still open!!!!

Have eaten here a few times and food is ok. The prices are reasonable and service is average. All was acceptable until I saw the cook coughing frequently without a mask or covering his mouth. Also noted that the woman at the counter did not bother to wash her hands or wear gloves after handling money from various people. Seems that after the Covid19 Pandemic, prudence would dictate superb hygiene practices at China King and other food service facilities. If you value your health....I would say run like he'll from this place!

This little restaurant has always been good for (Americanized)Chinese food.I've been working in downtown for nearly a decade and they're consistent with quality and timeliness. I believe at least some of these bad reviews are simply just from snot nosed Yale kids.
