First time after driving by for a cple years.Got the pollo burrito with everything.First, the flavor was outstanding, you could taste poblano peppers in the sauce, which was a unique substitution from the typical verde sauce ingredients from surrounding taquerias in New Haven county. Also, the chicken, the rice, the beans, all had their own flavor that, when mixed together with each other, married them all for a very satisfying taste. The burrito as a whole was well sized. The chix to rice and beans ratio was fair for the price. I liked the substitution of cabbage instead of lettuce, which I was worried about in the beginning, The burrito was sauced well, but not sloppy or soaking wet. The tortilla held up nicely throughout the entire burrito and didn't tear or fall apart, but it was still tender and soft enough that it was easy to eat.I highly recommend trying El Poblano if you're in the area and in the mood for some Americanized-Mexican food with authentic Mexican flavor. The only thing I will say, which ultimately isn't THAT bad, is the price. It was $11 for the Chix burrito. Steak/shrimp and lengua(I think) was $13. So it's on the higher end when compared to similar spots in the area, but you get a larger portion size, delicious, and slightly unique burrito, served up fast. The woman was very pleasant and you can tell that they take pride in their food and their restaurant. The restaurant was very clean.Parking: Small lot, so if it was busier I would've had to wait for someone else to leave first.

This place is legit. Reminds me of my mom's cooking. Had the fajita platter and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend.

Ordered Uber Eats and it was 10/10. Food was delish, neat and presented really well for take out! There’s nothing better than trying somewhere new for take out and being shocked how good it was.

Went here the other day. The food is top notch. I had the chicken burrito and I can tell you it's going to be what I order next time also. Line was a little long but was worth the wait. Authentic food.

Omg, don't walk...RUN! So this place has no way to see the menu online but I'm so glad I took a chance. The food is fresh, flavorful, and not over salted! The staff was so friendly. The only thing I would recommend is to park by the gas station because the parking is limited and downhill on a one way.

I love the pork carnitas tacos but I hate that you can only order everything in a "meal" sometimes I would like more tacos or something else without having to get giant sides of stuff I don't need. Please change the menu to allow tacos and quesadillas to be ordered on their own without the meal

Tacos! We'll order chicken, carnitas and shrimp tacos, Spanish rice, and refried beans. So satisfying! Just had the burrito al pastor... soooo good! Great flavor, healthy portion, friendly service. In the process of exploring the comprehensive menu. I'm looking at you, mole! Drink a Juaritos! Only 'negative' is they need the Tamarindo flavor! Substituting the lime flavor for now. Gracias señora!

Bought 12 small tacos, nachos, 2 tostadas and 2 drinks. I spent $75! The tacos on long warf are $2.50. I’m assuming these people are charging double the price! The Al pastor meat tasted like cinnamon. The customer service wasn’t too great and place was very small. They have their industrial kitchen equipment in the entrance of the restaurant ? Definitely was a first and last time for me.Parking: Very limited

This is an amazing spot in New Haven. The food is always incredible, my coworkers and myself make this a regular lunch pick up during the week. The owner/workers are always pleasant to talk to. If you are in New Haven, stop by for some delicious authentic food!
