I've always wanted to try authentic Indian and I'm very happy to say that this restaurant does not disappoint. I was greeted immediately by the owner who was very welcoming and kind. I was immediately seated, recommended a drink and then i grabbed a plate to check out the buffet. The all you can buffet gives you a chance to sample the many and delicious offerings. The Naan bread was fresh and hot, the butter chicken was everything I hoped it would be, very flavorful, tender and moist. I think I think I also tried a lamb curry, which was superb. Perfectly tender lamb with a nice kick of spice but nothing overpowering which was nice. I'm happy that I happened upon this location and will return again soon.

House of Naan Indian Kitchen and Bar in New Haven exceeded all expectations during our visit. The staff's warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home, and despite it being a bustling Friday evening, we effortlessly secured a table for eight without a reservation—a rarity in itself. The culinary journey began with their renowned Chilli Chicken and Chicken 65 dishes, both of which were absolute winners. The spice levels were perfectly calibrated, offering a delightful kick that complemented Connecticut's cloudy weather splendidly. Each bite was a burst of flavor, leaving us craving more. However, the true star of the meal was their naan. Soft, fluffy, and impeccably baked, it easily ranks among the best naans I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. It served as the perfect accompaniment to our meal, enhancing every dish with its delectable texture and flavor. Not to be outdone, their Korma dish was another standout. Rich, creamy, and beautifully spiced, it provided a comforting and satisfying contrast to the bolder flavors of the starters.Parking in New Haven can be a challenge, we were pleasantly surprised to find a spot just a short two-minute walk away from the restaurant. Overall, our experience at House of Naan Indian Kitchen and Bar was nothing short of exceptional, and it's undoubtedly a culinary gem worth revisiting

My favorite place for Indian food in New Haven! The service is excellent and the ambiance is calm and quiet. The decor is lovely as well with dim and warm lighting. I ordered the madras curry -- it is very flavorful (rich, spicy, and slightly sweet due to the coconut, but the coconut is not the dominant flavor). I would definitely recommend this to others (order with no/mild spice if your spice tolerance is not high!), and I am also a big fan of the garlic and cheese naan.
