Haven't been here since the original Ivy Noodle. The short grumpy guy was rude!!!! Rushed my order and they no longer have pan fried turnip cake so the grumpy guy yelled at me. He threw the napkins and chopsticks at me and my 14 year old daughter. The place was dirty! It had spider webs around the window and ceiling. Him being so rude deserves a visitor from the New Haven health department. Next time I'm going back to Basil Restaurant on Ho

Food was alright. Loved that the prices on Uber Eats matched the menu price.Fried chicken was nice and crispy. It tastes just like the other fried chicken you get from a Chinese resturant in CT.Fried Rice with shrimp was a bit burnt and the rice was on the harder side but my friend enjoyed it. It has a lot of oil and msg flavoring it.The spicy fried beancurd definitely tasted like fried oil with some peanut sauce and Sriracha. Tasted much better after adding additional Sriracha at home.Singapore Mei Fun was full of surprise ingredients you don't typically find in Singaporean Mei Fun. I found some water chestnut, mushrooms, beansprout, green onion, shrimp, chicken, and pork. The rice noodle is not the typical one you use but it could be inability to obtain the ingredient. It had some spice but not enough curry flavor to it.Overall, it was affordable with decent pricing and portion.

This is one of our very favorite restaurants in all New England. My college-age daughter, Bridget, would have me drive her down from Boston on her birthday to go to dinner here if I'd let her. The folks who own and run Ivy Wok are a joy, and work so hard. But our favorite is the chicken curry with noodles (lo mein, for us). Out of this world--delicious. Such a bright spot off the Yale campus, right in the mix of Broad Street.

I am very surprised so see so many low reviews for this restaurant. I order food from here pretty often and only sat inside one time. They used to be called Ivy Noodle before a change in ownership/management, so it makes sense most of their menu is noodle based. They have some standard Chinese food options, but most people visit there for the noodle portion of the menu. Each time I go I get the same thing, not for fear of trying something new, but for the fact that my two menu items are my absolute favorite from there. I always order the Bean Curd in Hot Oil and the Curry Beef Stew Noodle, and I pick different noodles each time depending on how I feel, but the base is always the same. The Bean Curd in Hot Oil is a Szechuan dish that I love. Cubed pieces of tofu pan fried in hot oil with a spicy peanut sauce drizzled over the top with some Sriracha mixed in. Crispy tofu with spicy peanut sauce. All. Day. Every. Day. You can get this menu option with wontons instead for s slightly less healthy option which is equally delicious. The Curry Beef Stew Noodle is like comfort food. A coconut milk, thin beef stew that goes with every type of noodle they offer, I don't have a favorite and always switch it up. There are big pieces of beef, bok choy, and tofu in this dish. It really is amazing. I have also had one of their Chicken Teriyaki Bowls as well which was fantastic but I always go back to my favorite. There is not a lot of seating, not great for large groups, and you can always sit at the counter. It is frequented by Yale students due to its proximity. They are quick with service and they use multiple food delivery apps.

My favorite noodle soup place in New Haven. Large bowls of soup. Huge selection.

I'm a Malaysian Chinese. Ordered the 93 seafood noodle with egg sauce. I requested the chief also the owner to make it authentic, cooked with 2 types the noodles and she did it for me. It came out good. I finally found the taste similar to my home country. (Due to lack of ingredients resource, the thin rice noodle wasn't the same. )

Ate here twice and both times, the quality of the food was bad. Should have learned my lesson the first time, but I've been trying to find a decent/authentic Chinese place so I gave it a second chance thinking that I should try different dishes (how New Haven does not have a single decent Chinese restaurant amazes me). Very bland and quantity was not a lot considering the price. I ordered chicken and black mushroom wide noodles and there was zero chicken in it. So I paid $10 for some scant, bland, oily noodles. Since it was delivered, I couldn't do anything about the lack of chicken. Food took an hour to get delivered (website said it would take about 30-45mins). Never eating here again! Such a disappointment.

Food prices are really cheap. but the service is very bad I just asked about the special request that I put in the app that I asked for more sauce but the staff yelled back at me. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I pay for it not asking for free food i feel so bad

Food wasn't like it used to be, soda's were expired . Its gone downhill unfortunately, used to be the best fresh homemade pasta house in new haven , this pandemic has hurt alot of businesses and quality of life tho. Family run business so I will go back, for them , its their livelihood

Terrible service each and the every time I went. Both customer service and food quality have been declined since last names "ivy noodles ". The interior of the restaurant needs major renovation. I don't even know how they are still in business.
