Went to Jake's today in Milford with my mom who wanted the best hot dogs we could find to celebrate Labor Day Weekend. Hot dogs, onion rings and fries are amazing. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend. When a 96 yr old says it's the best she's ever had that means something!

Properly prepared dogs, but way off-balanced Spot #5 of 6 in our hot dog trek, and we were in probably the swankiest place we've been thus far. This place is very affluent, so there's lots of shopping opportunities in this area. tucked in the parking lot of one of these places is a large duplex-sized place called Jakes, which has a ton of good press online. We go in, and the place is somewhat dim. The place is small but very dark. It kind of reminds me of a collectables shop in terms of the ambiance. Functional, but not very inviting. The menu has pretty much all hot dogs, and lots of them. The sheer amount of unique dogs is impressive. This being one of our later stops in our trek, we opted for a chicken teriyaki dog and a Seattle dog for comparisons. The food comes out quick, we take pics and dig in. First off, the hot dog to bun ratio was way off. the hot dogs were way too small for the bun, which was very evident with the Seattle dog. So you would get lots of bread with a little bit of dog on each bite. Second, the hot dogs were actually very salty. This usually has no real bearing on the dish, since I do like my salt. The problem being that the two hot dogs we got had high salt condiments on them (bacon and chicken teriyaki). the combo of salt on salt just lead to some very salty bites. The dogs themselves were prepared properly. I do enjoy the split and grill method of dog cooking. but there was a major lack of balance with the two we got. If we got hot dogs that had other non-salty ingredients, then these dogs would be good. but as prepared, they were a little off. It's an option if you want a hot dog, I would probably avoid the two that we got unless you like salty dogs.

The service was fast! We ordered ahead to pick up and the order was ready when we got there. The space inside itself is very cute and clean. The hot dogs we ordered were cooked to perfection, and the buns are soft. Toppings are plentiful! Person who served us was really kind and you could tell they took pride in the meal they made for us. We'll be back again.

I was up in downtown Milford for the first time and had dinner at Diggity Dogs and I do have to say, Dammm! Good hot dogs other than a NYC dirty water corner dog. Try the Alaskan Dog and the New Yorker Dog. Very nice favors put together. It's definitely a must to go a have any of the dogs. I super highly recommend it!Thx Bob

My family and I ordered The All American, The Tex, Seattle and a Bacon Cheeseburger. Fantastic onion rings and fries. With drinks it came up to $60.Parking: Parking is big, but because it's shared with other businesses on site, it could be challenging to find one available.

Me and my husband have started making Jake's our hotdog place! As soon as you walk in your greeted with a smile. Friendliest owner I probably have ever met. Made to order great food and great service.And also has great stories to hear. I will hands down top this as a MUST GO TO in milford!!!!!

There are a ton of hot dog places in Milford, but in my opinion Jake's is the best. Their toppings are always fresh & they give you huge portions. Wonderful variety of hot dog toppings as well. Onion rings & fries are great also. Super friendly service.

Can only describe as a very awkward experience. My 4 yr old had been curious about this place for a while seeing the large mural on the side of the building. She decided today was the day to try. We walked in and were the only customers at the time. Chairs lined the perimeter of what looks like a small dining area and there was a high top table with 4 chairs. My daughter ran to the table and started to climb up the chair and was quickly told by the worker we cannot eat inside. Daughter doesn't understand and starts to become upset. I oder food and am then told to go outside to wait for it on a blustery day with not a single other customer in the place. Very unwelcoming experience.

Hot diggity dog! What delicious hot dogs! Super cool hole in the wall spot that has friendly service and large portions. Haven't tried anything other than the hot dogs but everyone has been quite good. When I am craving a dog with lots of toppings I go here.

Delivery drivers have been the backbone of the restaurant business for the last two years. Jake's thinks so little of us drivers that they decided to close for the day and didn't turn off their online delivery service. Drivers aren't paid for their time when this happens. You're still in business because of us - treat us with the respect we deserve.
