Honestly, I don’t have much to say about this establishment. The staff is friendly, for the most part, but the food is devastatingly flavorless.I ordered the mofongo with shrimp and garlic sauce. I didn’t realize that the garlic sauce was literally just garlic and butter without seasoning, but even after swapping that out for a side of red sauce, the dish was bland, especially the mofongo itself. I’m not sure if it’s a cultural decision to not use seasonings outside of salt and pepper, but this is not something I was happy I spent my money on. The salad was made only of romaine lettuce and shredded carrots and I was given a regular store bought dressing on the side. I don’t feel like that even warrants a picture and the one I did include speaks for itself by leaving much to be desired-you can see even the shrimp isn’t seasoned. I certainly wouldn’t eat here again.

When they first opened that place food was good now I'm not ever going there again, this past weekend I payed almost 70 bucks on 2 mofongos a side of shrimp and 2 salads that looked expired, mofongo was old shrimp taste like rubber.. ya just lost another customer thanks!

Got some mofongos from here yesterday and they were not good, red sauce was bitter, doesn't taste like salsa criolla at all, the mofongo was just mashed plantains with a stupid amount of garlic flavor, won't comeback

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING HERE PLEASE THINK AGAIN!!!!!!! El mofongo was horrible! The service even wrose! I got mine with chicharron de puerco and my husbands with chicharron de pollo,they both tasted as if they were pollo. The mofongo tasted like tostones de caja and it had a horroble off taste. Also we ordered arroz con gandules and the rice was PINK!? To pay they up charged if it was with card and for just 2 platetters way to pricey! Really we waisted our time and came out with a horrible expirience!

I never leave reviews but I’m shocked that I paid $65 for such a small amount of food, It’s my birthday and I feel like crying ? The rice doesn’t have no taste and instead of yellow, it looks pink. The mofongo tastes old and dry and has no flavor in it. Why? Would you guys sell food with no flavor like this. I wish I would’ve drove to El Coquito in Bridgeport, CT. I’m very upset. I should’ve known better by the looks of the place. I’m new in town and wanted to eat a mofongo but I got played.

I will never go there ever again...I don't recommend this place....Save ur mo ey for something much tastier n better...I order the shrimp with garlic n it said in the menu that it comes with a choice of white rice or yellow rice another choice of tostones or Maduro n with beans n salad I ask her it comes with tostones right n she said no is another $4 ontop n I'm like but y the menu say it comes with it,than my shrimp had no garlic taste to it n beans had no flavor...than my husband order the chuletas with the white rice n the other stuff it said it comes with it said 2 chuletas they gave him alittle one n like a little piece of another chuleta n she said is like that is a big one n than a small one like really the menu don't say that n that wasn't even 2 it was just 1 with a piece of grease n toasted meat n he didnt even get the platanos like it said in the menu which I had to pay Xtra for some tostones...Never again

The chicken looked and taste old, the rice has a horrible burnt smell to it that took up my whole kitchen as if I cooked rice and burned it in my house and didn't even look appetizing. I never received my plantains or salad, not that I even have any faith that it would have been good. The fact that they can sell food like this to people and not think there is anything wrong with it is beyond me. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS S**T HOLE AGAIN.

I had the mofongo, I think it was leftovers from God knows when, it was just a nasty clump of mofongo, super super overpriced, my bf had yellow rice there were literally 4 peas and it looks like from a box, sweet plantains were burnt really dissapointing...I will never ever visit this restaurant!

My first time visiting this restaurant I was turned off. As I was looking at the menu, I happened to turn my head and noticed someone in the kitchen smoking a joint. How unprofessional and insanity especially when you are preparing food for the public!!!

First the menu it's false advertisement, menu said food comes with salad, tostones.. but no, they charge you extra for everything. Second, they should change the name of the restaurant because they are creating misconceptions of what a real mofongo should taste and look. I ordered a shrimp mofongo with garlic sauce. They serve the food in styrofoam containers ( I should have taken pictures) presentation was HORRIBLE, the mofongo was dry and burned, the shrimps were tasteless and the garlic sauce tasted and looked like corn starch. Last, they steal your money, charged me $90.00 for 1 shrimp mofongo, 2 chicken mofongos and rice with beans and breaded chicken. They don't give you any receipt, I was so disgusted with the food that I didn't think about the bill until I was home, $90.00 dollars. I remember the prices from the menu, I did some math at home and no way my total bill should have been that much . Anyway live and learn, please stay away from this place.
