We held our content creation happy hour at Madeline’s. The atmosphere, the food, bevs and service are exactly what we needed. Professional. Positive. Thorough. We had a great experience working with the venue and will definitely book with them again.

Just tried this place for the first time today. Many different tasty empanadas, amazing sweet potato fries and fresh orange juice. Great music and atmosphere to hang and chill. Will recommend and come again!

The food was yummy, the service was great, front end staff very kind, this is a collective so there is food/drinks to buy as well as handmade merchandise with Puerto Rican symbolism and native (Taino) culture inspired artworks, which adds to a culturally subversive ambiance. La comida estuvo deliciosa, el servicio fue excelente, el personal de recepción fue muy amable, este es un colectivo, por lo que hay alimentos y bebidas para comprar, así como productos hechos a mano con simbolismo puertorriqueño y obras de arte inspiradas en la cultura nativa (taína), lo que se suma a una ambiente culturalmente subversivo.

Just tried this place for the first time after seeing a New Haven Independent article highlighting it, and now I wish I knew that Madeline's has already been open for over a year now! My spouse and I got six different empananada flavor, which we found were all adventurous and complex. And the accompanying mayo-ketchup was the best we have had. Also appreciated the accommodating service! I called in for takeout with only a half hour before closing for the afternoon, and they squeezed my order in at the buzzer.I look forward to ordering out from here again!

The food is delicious. Whatever came out of this kitchen was yummy. The place is understaffed so naturally the service was slow. At night the place is also a bit too dark. Defo order out.

Been here a couple times and it's amazing. Every empanada style I have tried is excellent. Definitely recommend!Edit 1 year later: Look, the empanadas are AMAZING! I have taken multiple people here and graced them with these heavenly empanadas. My grandma's empanadas would barely compete (and she makes really great empanadas, as grandmas do). But lately, the service has been sorta iffy. Maybe it's because I'm dining in instead of ordering ahead for takeout. Also, couple times I've been there recently, they are out of stock on several items. I love this place and I'll keep preaching the gospel of Madeline's, but I may just stick to takeout from now on.

Soooo social media is pretty deceiving and apparently so our these reviews. The empanadas were fine. The dough was fine, not overly greasy but they can definitely use a lot more filling in them… As far as the restaurant it self. Looks a lot nicer online. Not the most comfortable seating arrangement. Not sure how long they’ve been open but definitely gives me open mic/poetry vibes. Which is fine, but it doesn’t give out restaurant vibes… I’m sure there’s a better way to execute both. You honestly can’t beat the price and the lady who greeted us was nice but not a place I would really recommend…

I went to Madeline's for the first time about a week ago. Let me just say I just love how many food options are available. I will say the steak and cheese wrap is my favorite. For sweets, I loved the sweet thang empanada! I tried a great deal of options. Please go if you are looking for a chill vibe. The owner is also a beautiful soul. You can wait inside for your food in a relaxing setting too. I will be back for another steak wrap! Please go support this business. I had no idea it was there!

Empanada's we're very good and very tasty. If you don't have a sharp eye, you will miss this place. Tired calling the business during business hours but received a text from store stating that they're having phone issues but was still able to place my order. I call that good customer service. The feeling inside the restaurant was nice and warm and staff was welcoming and nice. I would recommend this place.
The venue is really cool, the empanadas are delicious (so many options!), and the mixology class was awesome. I will definitely be back
