I often take my friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are appetizing and the team is efficient and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we pass a pleasing time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Who knows how good it is when you’re not smashed, but it definitely hit the spot at 2am

Mecha and I officially have a hate relationship, so I'm always up for trying the competition and rating them better than Mecha because they've plainly lost me as a customer. Service was slow, but the place is fairly new. It seemed like there was only one guy working. I came with a co-worker after a training on a Wednesday night, and the place was fairly dead. I ordered a sangria, which I never ended up getting because there was no fruit. I was offered a complimentary glass of wine instead, but chose to decline the wine. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. I liked the broth much better than Mecha's, but found that they were using the same noodles as Mecha, one of the things that turned me away from Mecha in the first place. I'm curious to see how they do and if business picks up. It's interesting how this place opened up right across the street from Mecha (which for some reason beyond me is always crowded). Hopefully Noodle Shack can still get some business and do well. I will probably visit again but in another month or two after it's had some time to pick up business.

Noodle Shack is delicious. There are multiple vegan options and the ramen is tasty (haven't tried the other options yet). The ramen portions are generous and packed with flavor. The prices are super affordable too. Noodle Shack is honestly better than Mecha. Highly recommend the spicy ramen on a cold day!

After I found myself torn between all my menu options, at my request server provided an absolutely spot-on recommendation for the delicious aka miso ramen. It proved to be exactly what I needed on that chilly, drizzly night. Great service, great food, just a great place to go and get your noodle fix.

After a long day me and friend decided to grab some sushi. We've been to Anaya Sushi multiple times and I love coming here I always have a good time and really enjoy the food We came in during rush hour it was so packed and busy We were Greeted and sat down pretty quickly Our waiter took our order and pretty soon after he brought us our soups and salads As we waited we saw the our waiter walk to the sushi bar and started making sushi for the order customers Which I'm assuming they are short staff or just someone didn't show up Understandable it happens He really seemed like he was having fun singing to the music and moving to the beat Maybe like 20 minutes into us waiting for our food Our food finally arrived i have never felt so happy I felt like a child on Christmas Day I got the Anaya roll and Elm City and my friend got the East Rock and Rainbow roll Those have to be my top 4 sushi rolls and will definitely recommend to anyone lol They are so good and fresh we love it Not long after we finished eating we watched as the other waiter walked up to the sushi bar and also started making sushi I have never watched so much team work in my life I give those guys so much credit!!!! Not only for them being waiters and working at the sushi bar but they were the only ones checking the tables and making sure everything was okay There was another girl there but she seemed pretty lost and had an attitude when I asked her if I could get a soda refill (The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars ) I have read some of the reviews about slow service but come one guys Sushi takes time and it's like an art You have to perfect it Most of the people that go to Anaya are there either for the sushi or the ramen But i always see more sushi flying out so it's understandable that you wait so long for your food Update i'm so late on this one i came tuesday durung lunch hour with a friend and we were greated by the sushi bar and sat down by the same girl i said looked lost last time Super friendly girl i believe she was just frustrated that day with how busy it was. My Waiter who was the same Guy from last time took my order and he was incredible he knew his menu from the front of the page to the back and his service was even better this time because it was a slow day super friendly guy smiling at all times as i chatted with him i found out he was actually the Manager of the restaurant and i mean they couldn't have picked a better person to take the manager position than him. i found out that the owners actually have 3 other places and to my surprise they also own another one of my favorite restaurants york street noodle house so to them from me that's 2 for 2 i will definitely be trying out the other t an soon give a detailed review on them Happy Customer

The food here was actually pretty good but I think they are still experiencing some growing pains, they don't seem to have developed out a great system yet for getting orders to the kitchen and waiters/food to the table--it took us 1 hour to get our noodles! Also they forgot my order and only brought my husband's noodles. Anyways I hope they figure out a system that works because I think place has great promise

This place has always been a little confusing to us. I mean there was a sign for Sushi out front, but they were also known as and pretty popular for "Midnight Ramen". Not like we cared, we pretty much went just for the ramen and were happy with that! The Sushi aspect was pretty much always an afterthought. Recently we planned a dinner out with my Son and his girl (who live in New Haven) and decided on Ramen. So, MIDNIGHT RAMEN TIME! We picked them up and punched it into the GPS and away we went! Little did we know that the Midnight Ramen part had moved, and we proceed to drive around downtown New Haven in circles, which is NEVER fun. Eventually, the youngsters started googling and we realized that we were going to the wrong place an Anaya was what we should have punched in. So, do that if you go. To be fair, I've already reviewed Midnight Ramen and very kindly, here I will be focusing strictly on the Anaya Sushi part of it. Also quick side note, they DO still serve Ramen here, and it's still amazing! Although we initially showed up here thinking Ramen, we unanimously decided that we were going to do Sushi across the board. And that turned out pretty okay...but not much better than just okay. My wife and son's girlfriend decided to split an order of sushi for 2 (on a boat) and the son and I went with a couple of fancy specialty rolls, and here's the hot take. In New Haven and the town's surrounding New Haven, you likely have 100+ sushi options. I personally have only been to a handful and have personally NEVER been blown away, and that trend continued here. The stuff was not terrible, at all. It was good, but not REALLY good. We were collectively not OVERwhelmed and not UNDERwhelmed. Just pretty much...whelmed. Everything tasted fresh and the service was fine, but it was nothing that I would drive more than 10 minutes for. Prices were reasonable for what we got and how much pleasure we got from it, but I would have gladly paid more to get more. Our final take away here was that if you go here, do that Ramen and the apps. If you "feel" like sushi and you're here, you're good to go on that. But if you're really looking for and craving some good Sushi, you'd likely be able to find a better option with a bit of research. GOOD LUCK!

The soup was delicious (less salty than Mecha) and service was fine! Only thing I'd suggest is to take out the ginger.

Where is the 0 star rating? Food poisoning from VEGETARIAN sushi! I'm not even sure how that happens. Not to mention the atrocious service (making us wait 15+ minutes just to rudely inform us they were "out of an item" we had ordered). Do they or do they not care about business? For your stomach's sake, stay away. I do not have a sensitive stomach and have enjoyed ample amounts of vegetarian sushi in the past. I have no idea what the hell Anaya did to ruin vegetarian sushi. I had to miss a class due to the weakness caused by the food poisoning I obtained here. I should bill them for the tuition spent on that class. SMDH.
