===== RATING: A ===== and the Mystry is solved! The hidden South Asian gem right in the heart of New Haven is no other than Mystry Indian Kitchen. We came within the first couple of months of it opening and now it's become my new favorite Indian restaurant in New Haven, topping other New Haven household names like House of Naan, Sherkaan, and Zaroka's. === [FOOD: 9/10] === The garlic and garlic cheese naans are BOMB. The cheese is gooey and pairs perfectly with any of their curries. Their dosa is HUGE. Samosas are super tasty: the right amount of crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Portions are perfect and everything comes out piping hot! Mango lassi is sweet and not too yogurt-y. Only thing I don't love is that the chutneys are very watered down, but the flavor is definitely there. === [VIBES: 7/10] === Our service was average, nothing super notable. They played some lit Bollywood / S. Asian music and had some cute decor for Valentine's day. Cutlery and plates were a classy copper tone. It's not usually too packed when we go, but traffic here is definitely creeping up every time I stop by. I cannot wait for this place to pop off because they totally deserve it. P.S. someone send me their playlist

Amazing atmosphere! Great Bollywood song collection. Only classics were playing haha.Food was amazing too. Spice level was good(im Indian btw). Had the lunch menu which includes a nice appetizer plus curry plus dessert deal! Go between 11:30-3pm.Im glad i now have another Indian option in NHV!

Possibly the best saag paneer I've ever had and I used to live in Jackson Heights, Queens where some of the best Indian restaurants are located. The menu is huge. Lots of dishes to try! Unfortunately, the interior is kind of ugly so I think it would have to be take-out next time. Didn't help that the heat wasn't working and they had an electric heater hooked up. I was still cold. But that saag paneer was definitely a 5 star dish

Very good Indian food at reasonable prices served quickly - what is not to like. A number of vegetarian options. If you are in New Haven and looking for lunch I'd recommend.
