Let me begin by saying next door had been a staple in my list of restaurants I loved going to when I first moved back to New Haven and my daughter was young and every staff person was nice and respectful and it was a great place to be. Tonight left a horrible taste in my mouth. Nicole my server, was extremely nice. She was attentive and friendly and personable. I would visit again just for her. Let me tell you who was awful and does not need to be a bartender anywhere. Tessa is the bartender who made my old fashioned incorrectly and slammed my glass on the table and stormed off. And when questioned about it, she feigned ignorance and indifference. I requested that she not make another drink for me. And the drink she made matched her disposition and attitude: awful. I sent it back to have Nicole make it. My question is why hire someone so inexperienced and unfriendly and unfit for a job as a bartender? She was sour and unpleasant and unprofessional. I told the owner and he tutt tutted but I doubt she’ll be reprimanded at all. It made the entire experience terrible. I won’t go back.

Had a pick up order the Uber driver messed up but upon calling the establishment they corrected the order hassle free. Didn't get a view of the atmosphere since it was closing but from what I saw looked clean and friendly

Really good find. Bar area is a nice with a variety of beer and liquor and plenty of sitting. What came for was the pizza and it did not disappoint. Coming back to try more of the menu.

Came here once before. Absolutely fantastic all around.Not so much this time. I walked in at 6:05pm. Sat at the bar. The bartender didn’t acknowledge me for at least 3 mins. Said she would be “right with me” 20 mins later. . . She never even came over to me. But everytime she came back behind bar to punch in order, or pour drinks, all she would do was make excuses. “Oh, it’s only my second day here. I don’t know why it’s so busy?!” I waited until 6:25pm, stood up and left. Horrible.This shows inconsistency with their service, which is a “red flag” for me. I will go back again, because of my “three time rule” hopefully they will be better.
Easily accessible and in walking distance of the New Haven green. Got brussels sprouts and a large pizza. The brussels sprouts were cut and fried in a unique way I had never seen before but it was quite delicious. The pizza was also quite good although a little too much garlic for my tastes (and i love garlic)

Excellent restaurant! Our family has used the Big Green Pizza truck several times years back, I’ve always wanted to try out the restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. The ingredients on the mashed potato and BBQ chicken pizzas were a little over-loaded, but that’s a minor critique given everything else was outstanding.Kid-friendliness: I don’t think they have a specific kid menu but there’s plenty of kid-friendly options.
