“The place is very sophisticated and neat. The customer service was A1 and the waitresses were very friendly. Additionally, the decoration of the restaurant represents Peruvian culture in great detail and is reflected in the delicious dishes we order. I won't be able to stop recommending this restaurant.“
“Lovely atmosphere! We made reservations and were quickly seated upon arrival. Our waitress Daniela was very friendly and personable. She recommend us the ceviche mixto, lomo saltado and seafood chaufa of course, the food was wonderful!!! I highly recommend coming here! The atmosphere is very lively and lots of fun too. I'd recommend reservations since they did seem pretty packed on Friday night.“
“We had dinner here tonight and the food was excellent! For appetizers we had Fried calamari, and fried plantain/cheese. Both were outstanding and good portion sizes. For dinner we had the Peruvian beef fried rice and some kind of chicken dish I forgot the name. Nice amount of food and both tasted great. Nice inside, the staff was great and we will be back again because we loved it. Thanks for a great Sunday night dinner La Molienda!“
“I go here often and get the shrimp fried rice but I hate that they never remember me when I go. Can't be that many black women going in that establishment. I spend a lot of money here, so that part is disheartening. Also, they don't speak English well, so that gets frustrating as well & they over price for alcoholic “
“Outstanding food in the heart of New Haven. It's a small, clean place with huge portion sizes. The service was attentive and the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the different dishes. I had the lomo saltado (classic Peruvian stir-fried beef dish with fries) and my dining partner had a Peruvian rotisserie chicken sandwich. The food is flavorful and an assortment of sauces were provided to add different flavor profiles - spicy, sweet, tangy, etc. We sampled some sauces, which tasted great, but the food was well-seasoned, so we did not need to add any sauces. We both left happy and full. On another date, I also ordered an arroz con mariscos (rice with seafood). There was many pieces of seafood (mussels, crab, shrimp, squid) and it reminded me of the times I had paella in Spain. Icaru is an excellent addition to the New Haven food scene and is a must try for people interested in exploring the diversity of dining in New Haven!“
