Food was okay. Papaya Salad was too hot and staff blamed us for ordering medium heat. Waiter came by once and we witnessed them talking more in the corner than waiting on customers. Dinning room area was very cold. Better Pho spot in the area. Will not be

I heard about this place for a while. It was on the way home and after a long, cold day on the slopes, we were craving a warm bowl of pho. We were greeted by the pho aroma as soon as we walked through the door. It was comforting and left me salivating. We ordered one large (Rudy) and one small bowl with meatballs, flank steak, tripe, and tendon and one medium with veggies & tofu. The broth was extremely flavorful and needed very little condiments. We also ordered the Lao Style Papaya Salad, Pad See Ew with Chicken, Chicken Satay, and Dumplings. It was one of THE BEST Papaya Salad and Pad See Ew I've ever tasted. Sometimes when the Lao food is good, the Thai food might be lacking and vice versa. However this was the best of both worlds. If we weren't famished, I would have taken pictures. Oh, they changed their name to Pho Temple (after the street). Give them a try! You won't be disappointed!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options such as tofuParking: Plenty of parking in Temple Street GarageKid-friendliness: Many kid friendly options with meat and sticky rice

Their food and cook has been trash the past 2/3 years since I've tried it. One time there was a super long hair in my food, another time it was an egg shell. And when I order no proteins in my basil fried rice they ALWAYS put extra veggies like cucumber and pretty much a whole bunch others I don't like included. They also usually forget to add my spice level to that dish a lot.

I’m Thai and I have brought my (very Thai) mom to lots of Thai restaurants around New Haven. This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The food is delicious, the price is affordable, and the ambience is welcoming. We’ve had our Thai student at Yale gatherings twice and it has not disappoint.Recommended dishes:- Appetizer: crispy pork belly, chicken satay, crispy meatballs, crispy fried chicken wings- All three "salads": papaya salad ?& laab ?(both are a must; get mild “1” or “2”, a "3" is too spicy for me; must dip the sticky rice in papaya salad or laab sauce); crispy rice salad- Meals: laotian style fried rice (there's a tang of sweetness), fried whole or sliced fish- can order off the menu: pad kra pow with crispy pork belly ?The Thai and Laotian food here is so good that it should be renamed “Thai temple.” HahaI love that their sticky rice comes in a traditional sticky rice bamboo basket. I love that their spice level and price ranges are authentic Thai. The ambience with the pictures and instruments are also authentic Thai. It reminds me of home to be here. ♥️

Amazing pho, made with beef broth that adds an extra dimension in the flavor. It was very well priced, and the small servings were more than enough for us.

Very cozy Asian restaurant with a friendly waitress. We all enjoyed our lunches.. my drunken noodles were just spicy enough although the pork was a bit tough. My husband's bowl of pho was so big he couldn't finish. Both my friends who travelled to meet us from New York commented on the generous portions and very reasonable prices.

I live in NY but, whenever I visit Connecticut, this is the first place I go to for excellent Thai food!

Decent pho. My favorite dish is the roast duck with the drunken noodles. However, the last time I visited, there was a bug in my soup...I kinda lost my appetite after that.
