Enjoyed so much their Falafel sandwich; perfectly fresh with the right amount of hummus and tahini, some pickles and tomato. Very tasty, it’s a pita wrap sandwich and not messy to eat, which isn’t easy…. The outside sign carries the former Westville Pizza in the name but this is perfectly Middle Eastern for lunch or to-go anytime. I’ll definitely be back.

Ate dinner, the owner is super nice and accommodating -- we came a bit before closing with a pretty big order, and the food took a little while, so he let us stay in afterwards, apologized for the delay and everything. The fresh baked bread is INCREDIBLE -- seriously, it's so good, you have to get it even if it's the only thing you get. All the food is very authentic, the store is run by a very nice Syrian guy and there are lovely entrees and desserts -- highly highly recommend!!الف شكرا للعيش، والاكل، والضيافة, محلك تحفة، و طبعا لازم هاجي مرة تانية

Kinda hole in the wall, walked passed it a few times trying to find it. Really nice girl took our order, chicken shwarma meal was pretty solid. Can’t argue with the prices either.

Decent food. Would have loved more roasted veggies with my $20 shish-kabob (1 slice of tomato and small slice of onion). Good hummus.

This place was far beyond expectation!!! We had it for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved the lamb and chicken shawarma! My boyfriend is half Syrian and says the food reminded him of his Sitto’s (Grandma). Very authentic! The cheese mannaesh was out of this world… I could just eat 10 of those. The excellent customer service and delicious food will definitely bring us back.

I’m from the middle east so I have been trying to find a decent place that makes shawarma and manaeesh for so long I was about to give upUntil I found this place! Hands down THE best shawarma I tried in the states! And don’t forget the manaeesh *chef’s kiss*The owner is Syrian and extremely kind. I live 40 minutes aways and would not hesitate to drive again to this place !

This is the place to go for Middle Eastern food in CT. Having traveled extensively across the Middle East over the past decade for work - I teach courses on Middle East history, politics, and media at a local college - I am so delighted to have discovered that Westville Emesa is within a short drive of our house. The food is delicious, authentic, and made with love, and when you enter the restaurant you are treated like family. The voices of Wael Kfoury, Elissa, and others sound in the background and the black tea at the end of a meal is not to be missed. Needless to say, I will be going back and my New Years resolution of eating out once a month will be broken in January. Oh Well.

I came here with family on a whim and was absolutely delighted. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious (they make the bread while you watch!) And the service is great. Strongly recommend for a casual eat in lunch/dinner or for takeout. My mom says she would come back here just for the tea.

My partner and I visited Westville Emesa for a light afternoon meal and it’s was delicious! We ordered the lamb sandwich platter - the meal came with fries, pickled veggies, hummus and tahini sauce. All the food was fresh looked great. Staff was super nice. Overall I highly recommended it! We’ll definitely be coming back.

Ordered the shawarma and the cheese pie and zaatar pie. Delicious! The food is excellent, fresh, and the restaurant is clean. And it’s halal too. Highly recommend!

The Manakheesh and the Chicken Shawarma sandwich are the best I’ve tried so far in New Haven!

We've gone here twice so far and both the Arab and Italian sides of the menu have been wonderful. I like the pickles especially. Note that when it says lamb is over grilled tomato, onion and pepper, it doesn't mean a sauce. There is one chunk of grilled tomato, one of onion and one jalapeno. Doesn't hurt to have some extra sauce at home. I love Emesa for a close, easy and reliable meal for eat-in, take out or delivery and everyone there is so friendly! Lots of good vegetarian options.
