Outstanding in every way! Sorry we waited so long to try this place. Cocktails were spot on. The Cuban sandwich was better than the one I had in little Havana. Service was best in class. I highly recommend you get to this place before they close at the end of the month.

I'm originally from Miami, Florida and grew up on authentic Cuban food. This was sub-par. The beans were flavorless. The steak was good, but I was hoping for some of those hometown black beans and rice and was grossly disappointed.

Amazing food!! We had a small gathering at Yale University the location is close by, they dropped off and catered for 40 people. The food was fantastic. We would highly recommend if anyone is looking for Cuban food. The empanadas, dumplings, chorizo stuffed potato balls and plantains were a crowd favorite!!

Really good food. Portions are a bit on the small side, and the prices are a little high. There is only bar top table seating, which isn't the most comfortable. All of the seating is in the bar, so it can get a bit loud. All of this being said, the food is still great, and it's worth checking out.

Until trying Zafra, I had no idea how much diversity in flavor rum offered. Beforehand I would have said a sipping rum was an oxymoron. But the real treat was the food, which was amazingly delicious. It seemed I could almost taste Havana.

Awful service, awful food, bad attitude by the owner himself, a waitress who knew nothing about the menu. If you want better Cuban, might I suggest your local grocers freezer!
This is absolutely one of the most pleasant restaurants in the neighborhood. Whenever I come to this place I am exceedingly glad. They preserve their high standard service and the topmost level of dishes they provide. You are always happy with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Follow-up to last review (been there now 4 times and really like the food and rum drinks). We just wanted to comment a little more on the scene. While there's Cuban music in the background, it's not loud, and the customers are not just a young Yale student crowd - more mixed, mature, and mellow, and not at all pretentious, which is very pleasant. You can actually have a nice conversation with your partner, or Dom the bartender.
