Tiny place in New London with just a handful of tables. Not much of a welcoming front of the establishment, and there's the smell of cannabis wafting from its neighbor dispensary as you enter, but once inside is pleasant enough, with friendly service. The pastelón stir fry was tasty but it was more of a deconstructed take on the dish, so don't expect the lasagna layers. The general tso's was also nice and crunchy. If you order sweet plaintains as a side dish, they serve you enough to feed plaintains to a whole table. Overall, this is a decent place, but didn't wow in flavors or looks to necessarily to stand out among whatever your favorite latin or asian fusion places may be. I was glad to try it but I would probably explore other places if I come around New London again.

I went to Rico Chow with my brother and had delicious food that made me feel like my abuela made it herself. Very lovely staff, they made me feel right at home.Thank you so much. Mi abuela realmente disfrutó la comida que recibí de su restaurante!God bless!

I just got an Uber eats order and I have to say it is delicious food very very fresh. You can taste the fresh. I got the sesame chicken and the house fried rice and you can just tell that it’s freshly made the chicken had some crisp to it, the way everybody talks about. I wouldn’t expect it to be the same as if I was sitting in the restaurant so when people complain, I don’t think they’re being fair, the quantity for the dollar amount is very fair and they didn’t miss any order notes and I like that especially because Uber charges so much they included some sauce they included silverware without being asked I would definitely want to try their food Puerto Rican food There are certainly a lot of Spanish restaurants up here and definitely this is quality being from Florida you sort of missed that glad I found this place ended up ordering dinner as well. Got the fried pork chunks the dumplings, churros Tostones everything is fresh, delicious the beans, authentic do yourself a favor and order from here.

The menu might be a little confusion at first. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the loaded fries but the sauce was too sweet for my taste. I would give the food 3.5 star but the service was good.

The empanada and pulled pork are amazing! My work got Rico Chow delivered for lunch on a professional development day and it was delicious! The delivery was prompt and we had no issues. The portion sizes were plentiful and the food was delivered hot. I cannot wait to try Rico Chow with my friends and family.

took one bite of the Crab Rangoon and immediately called them (I legitimately needed the staff to know how amazing my order was). I didn't catch the friendly women's name that picked up the phone. I work at a small family owed sandwich shop, BOH and FOH its extremely hard work. So when a customer calls the restaurant regarding their recent order... You're immediately are like...uh oh. She didn't skip a beat, so professional. The Crab Rangoon was out of this world, along with the veggie spring rolls. Usually, anything fried ends up soggy by the time you eat it. Not at Rico Chow! When I say everything shows up hot, crispy, and not greasy at all...i speak the truth! I also ordered the wonton soup, and it's the best I've ever had. Lastly, I had the boneless spareribs with the house fried rice, which are also crazy good. Anyone who leaves a negative review for Rico Chow obviously (is a Karen...) and has no idea what food made with love tastes like. As you scroll through the reviews, almost all are 5 stars. Don't allow people who are a pain in the butt and complain for no reason. Stop you from trying this gem!!!

The orange chicken was really good. Cooked perfectly crisp and flavorful. The staff was very welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.

My Husband decided to stop here since we were down that way. First thing I noticed when we walked in it was really cold inside and the menu was a little confusing. The cashier explained everything. So once I got the hang of it, we ordered I picked from the second aisle of the menu which was fried rice and two sides. My two sides were orange chicken and Tostones. My Husband grabbed the Mofongo meal with spare ribs and My Daughter picked The Korean loaded fries and beef noodles with General tso sauce chicken. When we got our food I noticed I was missing my fried rice so I asked her. She said she had misunderstood but she didn’t charge it and if I wanted to add it. I said “but you charged me for the meal with two sides, so you’ll charge me for the rice seperately?” She said “Yes” so I said “ No thank you because this already came out to $81 with no rice with 2 sides like it said” she didn’t liked my answer and caught a little attitude afterwards. To be honest the food was definitely NOT worth $81 and some change. I understand prices have gone up but the quality of the food must be up to level if that’s the case. The customer’s review should be important since we the ones who make you the money. All y’all have to do is listen or read, fix what’s wrong and level up to prices and expectations to make it a successful business. The mofongo had a weird taste to it, the spare ribs was cut so thin that it was overcooked, the tostones were not crunchy and tasted bland and the orange chicken sauce was not good at all. I was not able to enjoy my meal which made me very upset. The only thing that was good was the beef noodles and the general tso chicken my daughter had. She also liked the Korean Loaded Fries. She only said that the kimchi was really cold on top of the fries. Other positive thing is that food is pretty fresh. They did asked how was everything but I didn’t wanted to embarrass my daughter or husband so I stayed shut and said “Thank You” We will not be returning again. I’ve never been upset spending that amount of money or even more for food except for this time. Never again but wish y’all the best because there’s no hate nor bad intentions in my heart. The light shines for everyone! Hope y’all make the changes needed to make it a better quality restaurant. Bestest of luck!

I've been in here a few times and used to religiously recommend this place. Not only for their food when dining in but also for their take out. They achieved a level of perfect crispiness to their sesame chicken that all others failed at. It was even impressive when delivered because it was properly made to be crisp.I had one experience with some soggy sesame chicken and called the store to see if they changed the recipe or perhaps there was someone else making it and spoke to the founder. They stood by their product and were adamant that if I ordered again it would be as crisp as it's supposed to be and that it was likely a fluke or that I should state in the takeout instructions to make it crispy.I waited some time and did that. The chicken is as soggy as you would get from any ol Chinese place and much more expensive. I have lost complete faith in the restaurant and will be making sure everyone I know avoids this place.I wish the food had stayed the same. I really loved this place and would order it to impress dates or for a special treat once in a great while. The worst part is that their fried rice is also dry and that's not anything you can fix with some notes. "Don't mess up your amazing ham fried rice" doesn't exactly make sense.I really hope that whatever changed changes back. Maybe the ingredients changed to cheaper ones? I'm not sure but if I'm willing to spend $35 for their food, I expect the quality and consistency I've had before.

Rico Chow is an amazing refreshing food establishment in New London offering Asian/Spanish fusion cuisine. It's super friendly and talented head chef David often leaves the kitchen to check on patrons and ask "How is everything?" his style of food is unique and flavorful and always leaves me craving more. It is a small restaurant, but plenty of tables to sit down and grab a bite. The self serve atmosphere is nice and the food always comes out super fast hot and fresh. If I was a student at either Conn College or the Coast Guard this would be my go-to. Worth checking out.
