Insanely good Indian food. I love their vegetable biryani! Their prices are also reasonable and the service is excellent as well. I left well fed and feeling great. Highly recommend if you're in the area or just travelling by on 95.

Whenever I talk to anyone visiting New London from out of town and they ask for a restaurant recommendation, this is where I send them. Almost every single time, I get a text afterwards that confirms what I already know to be true- "That's probably the best Indian food I've ever had." Most of their meals here are prepared according to your preference regarding the spice level, you can do 1-5. Be forewarned- level 5 is no joke. I have actually never had it, but based on the number 4 I accidentally ordered once, instead of my usual level 3, it will knock your socks off. If you dine in, you will have the best service you can get around here. Swad is family owned and operated, and they are truly some of the nicest people you could ever meet. The restaurant is very cozy, and the aroma as soon as you walk in the door will have your mouth watering. If you're doing takeout, this is one of the few places I can think of where a hot meal to go is just as good by the time you get home as it is when you dine in. My only complaint about Swad Tandoori is that they've all but spoiled Indian food at any other restaurant for me- it really is in a league of it's own.

I’ve been here twice and have loved everything. This time I go the chicken curry and naan. Mom got chicken mango curry and roti. We did the dipping sauces for the bread. All of it was great. The service is superb as well. They give a shared rice plate and he came by to see if we wanted more rice when we ran out. He even gave me a little rice to go with my leftover chicken. Great personable service. Tip: their mild has no spice. Medium is what other places usually call mild. You can also add a plus or minus, like medium plus instead of going all the way to the next level.
My husband and I are obsessed with this restaurant. We always order the chicken Tikka Masala and naan, usually for takeout. Highly recommend.
