My partner and I absolutely love this place! It’s our go-to takeout or dine-in restaurant. He has traveled the world and tried a lot of Indian cuisine, and this tops them all. We love the owners and staff and really enjoy every meal. Our favorite is the chicken tikki masala. Customers for life!

The very tasty dishes , unlike many Indian restaurants, were all individually flavored. Many Indian restaurants have dishes that taste the same. I was ordering for a person who has celiac disease, which means very allergic to gluten- a medical problem. The kitchen here was scrupulous about gluten free and well aware of potential problems with cross contamination. As someone who has been to India seven times, I highly recommend this restaurant. In addition , the fact that there is a separate menu section for poriyals ( பொரியல் in Tamil and, yes, I’ve studied Tamil) a South Indian veg dish, separates Tandoori Flames from other more routine Indian restaurants.Vegetarian options: In addition to alu gobi, mattar paneer etc there is a whole section on Tamil poriyals-Dietary restrictions: Very careful about gluten free

I had a fantastic experience at Tandoori Flames. Their mango chicken, my personal favorite, is absolutely delicious and mouthwatering ?. The chefs are incredibly talented?‍?. I recently participated in their cooking class, and it was a wonderful experience for me.

First off, I must say that I am of Indian descent and I do know Indian food. I live in New Milford and have been here quite a few times in the past few years. Few years ago this was a must for anyone wanting good Indian food. In 2022 when one of the owners left the business for good, it went downhill fast. My wife and I thought it might have been a few off nights for the restaurant but it never got better. Last night we tried it agin after a long time and we can honestly say we will never go here again. The food has hit rock bottom and is not worth it. We have found lots of other restaurants in neighboring towns that are worlds apart. This is the only Indian restaurant in New Milford that we know of but please save yourself the hassle. The Tandoori Chicken tasted like steamed chicken with tandoori seasoning, the Lamb curry tasted like stew instead of curry made with Costco Australian Lamb to name a few dishes. We wanted to give this place one last chance last night before confirming that it has officially gone downhill. Sorry to be so harsh but people are paying for good food and this is definitely not good food.

This is one of our favorite restaurants since moving to the area. Sadly, service has deteriorated. Two visits ago, it took an hour to get our food. This past Saturday, we were seated at 6:30, no one came to take our order until a little before 7, and we did not get our entrees until 7:50. The restaurant seems to give priority to take-out customers over dine-in patrons. On each of these visits we frustratingly watched a steady stream of people picking up their orders at the bar while we waited and waited. We really like the food, but have to question whether we will be back.

Absolutely amazing. Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to (and I’ve been to a lot!)I’ve brought people who thought they didn’t like Indian food, only to love it somuch they couldn’t wait to go back. The atmosphere is subtle but sophisticated. The staff makes you feel at home. The food makes you dream about it until you can come back and then the cycle repeats itself.I feel so lucky to have Tandoori Flames as a local gem!Vegetarian options: I’m a vegetarian. My husband isn’t. This is a fantastic place for us because there are so many choices for both of us. Excellent in every way.
