My daughter recommended this place. We had the best sushi in the area. The selection is limited, probably because we're in an area with few Japanese. The basic dishes were all available. The service was excellent. Will now start going to Ikura for Japanese food.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options were available.
Will be buying our sushi from here from now on. Ordered take-out online. Had my order ready from the time it took me to drive there. The chef and host greeted me with smiling faces and were extremely nice. The food was absolutely amazing. We loved the drizzle of spicy mayo on our spicy rolls. The fish was fresh and the texture perfect.

I took my girlfriend here on a date and we had a lovely time. We sat at the bar and it was so entertaining to watch the chef prepare our sushi right in front of us. The sushi itself was outstanding, rivaling some of the best we've had around the country. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and the waitstaff was incredibly friendly. Just an fyi- it's BYOB so bring a good bottle of sake for yourself!

Was absolutely amazing. Even though it is kind of small it is absolutely magical absolute favorite restaurant here. Went here with my family of 5. Normally Asian restaurants cost 150$ when you almost get nothing. All our food cost at least 90$ and was way more better than the other Asian restaurants we have went to. Staff was super nice. Me and my family cant think of a better place to go rather than here. ??Kid-friendliness: Staff was super kind to my kids. There is not anything that is inappropriate . Also recomend coming with coming with a party or family or 2 people or just yourself!

I LOVE IT HERE!! there is a real sense that this is a community center of a restaurant. growing up in this town i am biased but the center of newington has a soft spot in my heart and this is a great addition. the owner, john, is so lovely and all the employees are great. this is definitely on the more expensive side (but then again, what isn't) however i think it's entirely worth it. there is indoor and outdoor seating and the space is beautiful. my go tos (as an anti-seafood person) is the fried rice, udon noodles, and any of the bento box lunch specials (available before 3:00). i would recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a lovely meal

He had the eel/cucumber and spicy California, I had the eel/avo and the spicy sweet potato rolls. Super kind staff and really good pricing for sushi! Already agreed with the husband that we will be back.
