After seeing that Vino Pizza had 5 Yelp Stars but only two reviews, I was wondering if I should try it. I checked to see if I knew either of the reviewers, and sure enough, Yelp Friend Monica B is really high on Vino. I took that as a good sign. Vino is located in the Stop N Shop Plaza near CCSU. I ordered a medium Vino's Special with pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, onions, green peppers and mushrooms for takeout. Service was very inviting and helpful on the phone and in person. Vino has a casual eating area inside the restaurant, but I suspect they do a lot of takeout and delivery. My order was literally steaming hot when they pulled it out of the oven and it was ready on time. The crust was very good. The pizza seems like it may have been cooked with butter in a cast iron pan or skillet because the crust was crispy, nicely colored and had a slight buttery taste. Vino was generous with the toppings, which were very good. It's green bell pepper season in CT and the peppers tasted good enough to be fresh local. The hamburger was nicely seasoned and tasted fresh. I liked the sauce and cheese as well. I would definitely repeat for pizza. Vino has other food like grinders, apps, and pasta. Four Stars

Potential to be the best pizza in the area, but just like the New Britain Max Pizza, Never consistent. Large cheese under cooked, way too much under cooked cheese. Otherwise always Good ingredients.

Awesome Vino's Pizza Was a pleasure to learn that the great Max Pizza V , who had close in this location, has been replaced by the awesome Vino's Pizza. Excellent attention and a delightful crusty Pizza full of flavor. But their Menu offer a very wide choices including seafood, wraps, grinders, calzones, burgers, salads, pastas, etc. If you're around Newington no doubt is the place to be.

Called Vino's to order a pizza, I was able to order a pizza and when it came it was 24 dollars and change for a 2 item large pizza. Sausage and Olives. 2 dollars for a delivery charge and it goes to the restaurant per the driver. I still tipped her 2 dollars and mentioned in passing to the driver that that price was expensive for a 2 item pizza. so I paid almost $27.00 for a pizza. It tasted Awful and I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you want good pizza call any other pizza place like Max's Pizza, Peppino's Pizza, Marathon Pizza, Checkers Pizza or even 1 of about 6 other pizza places within 5 minutes of this place.
Ordered the stuffed shrimp pizza it was excellent!Have eaten here several times before every time I was not disappointed!!!

I come here often and order the stuffed shrimp pizza. It is delicious !!! It’s always fresh, hot, and loaded with tons of shrimp ! The staff is friendly and accommodating ! Good luck to the new business owners...keep up the great work !

Why are you using microwave bacon... on a BLT wrap and a Cobb salad. Both are a bacon-centric meal.. if you are too lazy or cheap to make fresh bacon in a restaurant, you failed..
