We had dinner here few times it was always good to okay never great never bad either, but this Monday it wasn't a good experience. Stuffed Flounder dinner ($42) that supposed to be stuffed with lobster and crab meat had no stuffing at all; never mind lobster or crab neat! It was two small pieces of filet lying flat on a plate with some bread crumbs on top with few asparagus and some wild rice, fried calamari appetizer had literally 10 pieces of rubbery calamari, wings and flat bread were good. Been in the restaurant business for over thirty five years I have never seen stuffed flounder served like that. Service was good! On the way out it felt like we just wasted $145 for food and drink Plus $30 tip for two appetizers,one sandwich, one main course two glasses of house wine and two gin and tonic.Parking: plenty parking

The Barnwood is our go to for occasions as well just to eat out. The wait staff are very good . Our orders always arrive promptly, and as ordered. In addition to a well rounded menu there always are wonderful specials. We have never had a meal that we didn't like. The chef is inventive and steps outside of the ordinary with fish and meat selections. The only negative is that the acoustics are dreadful making it noisy when the restaurant fills up.Also the tables for two are small.
It was an enjoyable experience. Food was excellent. Service was efficient. The place was packed and yet the high quality service and dinner was still maintained. We were a party of 4 and every person at the table loved there meal. I also recommend the sticky toffee cake for dessert!

The food and drinks are delish. We sampled exclusively from the special menu. The portion size of the apps was small for the price, but the flavor was great! Desserts and the mini grasshopper martinis were amazing. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. Definitely coming back and sitting at the bar next time.

The bar area is so cute! The dining area is nice too and we were kept warm by a built-in fire place. I really enjoyed the music they were playing and loved the overall atmosphere. I’ve been here twice and both times the food was pretty good but not my favorite. It’s currently the designated lunch spot for my family’s annual girls’ day out!

Beautiful atmosphere for the holidays. Went for a small family get together and asked for a quieter area and they happily placed us into a more private room towards the front which was beautiful and perfect for the occasion. Food was great. Ordered each appetizer from the menu to try all. I would only suggest to offer more chips with the tuna tartar. For the amount of tuna; the chips broke easily and it was not enough to comfortably share amongst others. Other than that I would rate them as a great local to enjoy lovely drinks and food in a super cozy atmosphere!
