If your looking for a authentic feeling, sit down restaurant in the Sandy Hook area, then look no further. With exceptional service and food cooked to perfection you really get it all here. I highly recommend the short rib dumplings as an appetizer to show they mean business.Parking: Roughly 4 spots in front of restaurant and 30 - 40 in the back.Kid-friendliness: Great selection of food for kids.

The Foundry is a Newtown staple! Quaint restaurant with a creative drink menu and tasty dishes. The vegan and short rib dumplings were incredible! Flavorful and filling. I enjoyed the shrimp curry for my entree and was delighted by the uniqueness, which had a little spice. It was a good portion as well. The crème brûlée for dessert was classic goodness.

Fantastic from start to finish. The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient — we felt so welcomed! Brunch was delicious. I had the steak and eggs and my husband had the short rib hash — both were superb, with fresh ingredients and delicious depth of flavor. Coffee and dessert were great, too. We will definitely be back!

Very nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and quite a few delicious vegan options. We shared the vegan nachos, vegan fried rice and vegan curry. Maybe I should have paid more attention to the ingredients: at the end, I felt that I had a few too many pickled onions.
Street corn nachos were the best I ever had- we all loved them. My fish tacos were good, not amazing. The rest of our party had the classic burgers and were satisfied. Came for lunch and were the first to arrive when opened but only one waitress (who was also the bartender) and the place filled up fast. Service was a little slower than we liked. However she was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend and return.

My first time visiting, but my wife had been there before. We got the nachos and they were absolutely amazing, maybe the best nachos I've ever had. We were honestly full by the time our main dishes arrived, but those were excellent as well. Great place, excellent service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back again.

The food was delicious! I got the short rib dumplings, and the skirt steak entree. The incorporation of the Asian flavors and vegetables with the perfectly cooked steak was excellent. It was my first time to The Foundry, and already making plans to go back. The other options on the menu looked great, but the skirt steak was so good I would have a tough time not ordering that entree again.
