We have been to their other location and we're excited to try this location since it's closer to us. I emailed them to make a reservation and they were able to fit our large party. We went here during Sunday brunch with my family and it was nice to see how open this brewery is and so close to the water! They had plenty of seating and also have an outdoor patio that allows dogs. Our server was really nice but they seemed to appear to be short handed because he seemed to be the one waiting and serving all of the tables. He greeted us and got us our drinks right away but then it took a while for us to order. When he took our order, he never wrote anything down and got all our orders accurately! We got a few beers like steeple people and pew pew which were pretty good. We liked steeple people better. I liked that they also offered mimosa and Bloody Mary flights. We started with mozzarella sticks which were not on the menu but the chef was able to make it for us which were good. I got the macaroni and cheese burger and fries, which I thought was a little boring. I would add cheese, ketchup and mayo on the burger but the fries were great! My sister got the adult macaroni and cheese which she thought was okay but would be better with breadcrumbs. My husband got the buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese to dip which was good and had a nice flavor. My father got the French dip and seafood chowder which he said the soup was exceptional, probably the best he ever had. We even got a few more cups of soup to go! My mom got the eggs Benedict which she enjoyed. My son got a cheeseburger and fries and my daughter got the linguine and meatballs and both they enjoyed! Overall, this is a nice place to stop by if you're in the area!Kid-friendliness: High chair and changing tables

I want to be fair, I complained in the past about the food and service. I stopped in last night for the fund raiser. I was not expecting any more than a good pizza, I was there for the museum. I always heard the owners were nice people, but never had the chance to meet anyone, last night I did , After having a conversation with Andy, he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, polite, respectful and really cares about the community.. I will definitely be back again and again !!!

Very good burger. Brussel sprouts were superb. The best part of the evening was the service from our guy, Alan. He was cordial, friendly and worked extremely well under pressure. Alan is the reason we'll be back.

We tried 5 Churches by the Bay on a winter Saturday night - off season in Niantic. Surprised! There was a pretty good duo playing. sat at the bar. The bartender had no use for the two lady groupies at the bar who weren't drinking or eating. They finally ordered what sounded to me like Lemon jello. The bartender clearly knew they wanted Limoncello-which she did not have. Let's just say there was a massive cultural divide between the more sophisticated server and these two women. A humorous moment. i digress. My companion enjoyed his beer and u was fine with the local Jonathon Edwards Stone Table Red wine. Two requests for water were unsuccessful. On the Saturday after Valentine's Day they were still oitching their over-priced VD menu. We went for the Bay burger as the VD table clothes in the seating area looked sloppy, so we figured we'd keep our order simple. Cheeseburger itself was fine, although my companion said "lacked seasoning". Lettuce was a pretty tough green leaf. Tomato - sliced ahead and suffered in the refrigerator. "Bay Sauce" was fine. Two skinny pieces of bacon - meh. French fries were ok - but no seasoning. Bartender checked in and as requested provided salt and pepper. We are local and try to try all establishments - this place is one year old and we walked out on our first attempt to try it shortly after they opened. We won't be back anytime soon. Without a local following it is hard to succeed in Niantic.

I ate there last night with a group of about 20. I ordered fish and Caesar salad. I had the fish there before and it was very good and well cooked. The the fish last tasted like it had been thawed and fried. One piece of fish, so-called Caesar salad which was lettuce on a plate, 5 croutons like you get from the store, a tiny bit of cheese and dressing on the side. And for $22, not a great meal for sure. Not sure if your chefs have changed, but I don't know how someone that deals with food could send that food out. Sent a comment once before 25 churches and never heard anything back.

Great food! Had the best service by Jaylie Voss, such a kind lady and provided great conversation. Would highly recommend.

Don't do reviews too much typing. Left after summer and came back and man is it so different. The staff really care and know what they're talking about. The dark skinned lady with the blonde hair behind the bar has every answer in the book when it comes to beers and drinks and it's almost like she knows what you would like. If you've never tried their beers she will have you convinced. Got her name but it's something weird and I can't spell Sorry great smile though very pretty. Just ask can't miss her she's the only dark person in the building

Nice addition to the area. Pub fare, beach pub feel. Service was attentive and food was solid. Good family dinner location.

We have come a few times, but it's getting worse. We were the only table there at 6:30 on a Saturday night which was odd. only a few people at the bar. Prices are high for portion size and asking $30 for a stir fry special is RIDICULOUS. Service was slow yet we were the only table and my order was wrong. Again only table seated. Also $12 for a tiny cup of chowder is not OK. This was our last visit.

I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was dry and had no flavor. The French fries came out cold. Our server was very friendly and apologetic. Prices are ridiculous. Definitely a place for the tourists that don't know any better. Do not recommend

After reading some of the reviews I was somewhat reluctant, this was one of the only choices for soup and a salad though and being an out of town traveler my options were limited on a Friday night. We took a chance and we're promptly seated just off the main bar. Kaylee greeted us and took an order for a ceaser and some onion soup. Spot on! The soup was fresh with a great flavor. The salad and extra dressing came out prompt and with an extra ramekin of dressing. Just what I was looking for. Guiseppe? Checked on our table and provided some insight on the new direction of the establishment. His pride in the establishment and conversation made our night . He continued to check on us and give us wonderful and informative insight to the area. How awesome and welcoming. Before we left the restaurant/ brewery Carlos approached our table and asked us about our meal. He had prepared it in the kitchen and was looking for feedback, Wow! We had ordered a burger as well as the salad and onion soup and he genuinely wanted to know our feedback. This is a must for a traveler looking for a first class meal . 100 percent the place is a winner.

I can't leave a food review since we weren't given the opportunity to order any food. We were seated at a table and waited 15 minutes before moving to the bar since no one came over to take our drink order or offer us water. We were able to order drinks at the bar but the bartender never asked if we wanted to order food. We made 3 attempts to order food but were ignored. We finished our drinks, asked for our drink tab, paid and left. Will never go back.
