I've been meaning to check this place out as it's right down the street from our house. I didn't have high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised! We tried a few cocktails, a couple of the specials and 2 apps off their regular menu. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, layered flavors... honestly so impressed. And friendly service. A great spot - almost hidden in plain sight on Hamden/North Haven line for delicious drinks and Latin cuisine! Super friendly owners -Shirley and daughter Kydiam (spelling?) greeted you warmly and took great care of you. The Queso Frito, beef empanadas and Anticucho were great but the sauces were over the top. We will be back! Adding - We took home the bread pudding and tres leches cake - sooo good!

Unassuming on the outside, cute and cozy on the inside with divine food. Ordered the pernil bowl, ceviche appetizer and bread pudding dessert... definitely an experience to repeat! Amazing service - lovely family. Can't wait to go again!

She was such an awesome person with a gentle, loving spirit! It's people like her that would make people like myself want to come back. Great job Shirley! I'm a man of patience and I must say that she was extremely patient with me when it was time for me to order. She has such a winning way about her. I had the pleasure of eating Lomo Saltado aka New York Strip served with red onions, tomatoes, cilantro, Yukon Gold Potatoes, and steamed rice, all prepared by Chef Edgar (Kachito) Garcia! Excellent job Chef! You're a great chef and again I will be back. Thanks again good brother! Then for dessert, I had some Puerto Rican Coconut Bread Pudding served with Caramel sauce and Rum Raisin Ice-cream created by another great chef whom I consider to be my friend, my spiritual brother and one of the best, creative chefs in the country! Blessings to you Chef Anthony Rivera (Chef Tone)! I already know I won't be disappointed when I try one of your dishes! Keep up the great work my brother! This was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! Shirley was so sweet and welcoming. Everything is reasonably priced.We got a few appetizers- pork slider, yuca frita, and the steak skewers.
