Maybe I caught them on an "off" day, but I think the pizza was pretty average. It was far from the worst I've ever had, but definitely far from the best as well. The phone was ringing off the hook in this place. Takeout seems like the bulk of their business. Only a few tables inside, and the ambience is nothing to brag about. I really could care less about the scenery inside if the pizza is good. Ordered 2 small pies 1 eggplant and 1 mashed potatoes and bacon. Eggplant was decent, little lackluster on the flavor. Mashed potatoes were flavorless and a bit soggy..almost like they just took them out of boiling water. Bacon was good and crispy. Dough was a bit overcooked, and I normally like a good char. This one sat in the oven a few minutes too long. Overall it was an okay visit.. worth a try.

Happily surprised at the quality, tastes as good as any of Frank Pepe, Sally's, and modern, but no line, amazing people and great prices. The white tomato pizza is fabulous and the bacon, onion, garlic was fantastic. Can't go wrong going

Olde World Appiza is a top-tier pizza restaurant. The whole wheat dough they use is both more nutritious and delicious. I had the pleasure of enjoying an eggplant and broccoli pizza. It was one of the tastiest pizzas I've ever had!

I checked out this place since its across the street from my dermatologist's office. Solid 4. Classic New Haven style pizza as crust is thin with nice char. Good sauce and reasonable price ($18 for medium sausage). Very small seating area with only 3 tables but the interior is super clean and well kept. Staff is super nice. Cash only but there is an ATM next to the door.

They serve the best brick oven pizza in New Haven county!! They use the same quality ingredients and they have been under the same ownership since they opened. Even though the cost of making pizza has gone up they’ve tried to keep their prices fair. They are goo at what they do and their employees are so friendly.Vegetarian options: They keep their ingredients separate and they offer cauliflower and rice crusts!! If you request vegetarian then they will prepare the food on a separate surface!!Dietary restrictions: Their subs are absolutely delicious and they take large orders.

Drove from NYC for their pizza after watching the OneBite video. Glad I made the drive as the pizza was delicious! Very charred, not oily or greasy, delicious blend of cheese & thin- exactly what you'd expect from CT pizza. It reminded me a little of Modern. I know a worker there used to work at Modern so maybe he's got the secret touch ?. We got two pies & both were perfect. I give Olde World an 8.4Parking: Plenty of free parking in their parking lot.
The apizza was absolutely mouth watering delicious. Came from Milford, Connecticut. Called a half hour ahead, ordered a medium apizza with mozzarella and it was ready when I arrived. Have had pizza at over thirty other apizza restaurants in Connecticut, New York City and Massachusetts over many decades and Old World Apizza is the BEST. Thanks!

Made the trip from NYC to try this gem, so glad I did. It's similar to Modern in New Haven. There's no runnyness of oil or grease on their pizza, so you know they use fresh & real ingredients. I'm a New Havenite who absolutely will take Olde World over Modern/Pepes/or Salles. Takeout is always blazing fast, steaming hot, fairly priced, and served with a smile. They're the best around, and that's saying a lot for around here.

Read about Olde World Apizza in the September '23 issue of Connecticut Magazine. Then checked out the reviews on Yelp and based on the very positive comments, I went. Very happy I did. Outstanding New Haven style Apizza at its best. I ordered a large white clam. It was perfect. The interior of the restaurant is very clean with three tables that seat four people each. The owner, Joe is onsite and very accessible. Gave my party his personal recommendations and they were spot on. The young woman working the counter was very helpful. Eat in and enjoy your Apizza with the owner and his staff as everything about Olde World is five stars.
