Matches Tavern is one Foxwood's little known gems. Delicious casual fare at reasonable prices in an elegant, dark wood pub style atmosphere. It is actually across the street from the casino in the down stairs of the Golf Club House. Ariana was our server. Friendly and professional. I had the Chicken and Bacons sandwich with Fries for $16.95. Great tasting & well priced. I highly recommend this place.

We went to a wedding and were in the ballroom upstairs. The views were amazing, as was the food. Service was excellent and staff friendly. Acoustics were also very good.Really nice event location.

We sat at the bar for mire than 10 minutes listening to people talking in the kitchen, we had to literally loudly say “hello” to get someone to wait in us and again when we wanted our bill so we could get to casino to meet our friends. Not sure we will return, a little too laid back for us, we want to get in and get out! There was only 2 other people dining there and maybe this is why! Customer service is not present at this restaurant.

I'll say something about matches tavern that not enough people are talking about. This place has the best regular French fries I've ever had in my life. Firm, crispy, tastey and I finish them before I even start my meal everytime.
