Having recently moved to Norwalk, we have tried several of the local Thai places and so far Boom Thai has become a favorite. We dined in on our first visit and as other reviews noted, the table service is not the most attentive, simply because the volume of takeout they do is a distraction for the wait staff. Subsequently, we just order takeout too. Food quality is consistently high. And the staff is welcoming and friendly. We like things spicy and don't have to say "Extra, Extra Hot." Just "Spicy" is hot enough here. So if you don't want it hot, definitely say so. Prices seem a little on the high side to me, but portions are fairly large. It's a reasonable value for the quality they deliver.

Lunch specials are amazing. Here in this picture you see lunch meal nr 15. Tasty cutty with chicken and shrimp. I have tried 4 different dishes and all of them have their own unique explosion of flavours.

We picked up food on a Saturday night. Small but cute restaurant. We shared Summer Rolls and Curry Puff Chicken. Both were delicious. We also ordered bubble tea, which is more like a slushie. We didn’t enjoy that. Maybe great during a 90 degree + day but it was in the 40s in November. I never had bubble tea served like that and it certainly wasn’t worth the $7.50 we paid for each. That was disappointing. We also ordered Kao Soy Noodle. While the curry served with the dish was delicious the egg noodle itself was lacking in flavor. I thought the egg noodles would be sautéed but that wasn’t really the case. They served everything separately which is great so nothing would be soggy . However the noodles were lacking any flavor. Even though I left the noodles to soak in the curry for a few minutes the noodles still were tasteless. I would definitely order the Yellow Curry if I came here again. Hubby ordered Pad Thai which he enjoyed and used the curry to top the Pad Thai and that took it up a notch. I’d definitely get the yellow curry but as an entree wjth rice of course if I were to come here again

Amazing, FRESH food! We were on a road trip on the Merritt and so hungry for some dinner! We kinda picked this spot because it was not too far off the highway! There are a few tables to sit down and they serve liquor! Fresh Thai food - we will remember this spot and we will be back!!!
When it busy, service suffers. They do a ton of take out so be prepared to wait even if the restaurant appears empty when you arrive. I recommend the Tom Yum soup...and any of the duck dishes.

Honestly the best bang for your buck in the area, especially lunch. Anyone working in the corporate offices across the street should consider Boom Thai. Easy online ordering and was ready in about 15 minutes. And you really can't beat the price. I like the drunken noodles, they always hit the spot on a cold cloudy
