Don Carmellos is wonderful! We love the food, atmosphere and the owners Jose and Maria are top notch! As a restaurateur, we love coming here because we feel like we are at home! Everything was fresh and delicious! And the margaritas are fantastic! We also love to get take out and enjoy a meal at home! Can’t wait to return.
I want to start off by saying for the past 20+ years I always went to Rio (IMO is not god any longer) Well, last week I went to Don Carmelo’s with some friends and wow! The food was amazing, the inside was warm and cozy and the topper was that Maria who used to work at Rio (who I love) was the new owner of Don Carmelo’s!! I couldn’t have been happier to support such a sweet woman. I will be back soon!!! I’m glad I found my new goto Mexican restaurant.

My kids and I absolutely love this restaurant! The table guacamole is delicious- my kids beg me to take them here just for that. I of course oblige because I love their AMAZING margaritas, so it's a win-win! Other great dishes include the amazing empanadas, taco salad, and my favorite entree- the Pollo Rey. You cannot go wrong with anything really, and the rice and beans on the side just add to the deliciousness. Staff is super nice and friendly, setting a very welcoming ambiance. Highly recommend it.

This place is super nice and definitely worth a try, great staff and everything but i have to say the food that i received was very bland. my white rice on the side of my 2 tacos had 0 seasoning on it, not even any salt. As well as the beans that tasted like they were from a can. The tacos as well, no flavor whatsoever, the most flavor was from the chips and salsa at the beginning. and i’m really not trying to be rude because this place seems super nice and everyone was nice but it was disappointing how bland the food was. Since the reviews are so good i’m going to think it was just what i ordered or maybe an off day or something. i was very hungry so i did still eat it all, it wasn’t terrible it just had no flavor, the beef did not taste seasoned at all either.

Just had dinner with you this evening. Food was excellent! The appetizer calamari with that wonderful sauce was excellent and the 3 of us loved our entrees. (quesadilla, enchiladas and burrito). Got a pitcher (or two) of margaritas - they were ok, but WAY too sweet. Coming back for the food - need to tweet the margarita pitchers. We sat at the bar and the service was perfect.
