Herb is a very nice guy who loves what he does. I usually order breakfast. My brother loves the French toast and sandwiches I order are amazing. He's tucked in on the walk so look for the umbrella.

20 years ago a food truck gave me food poisoning and I never considered another one again. If you're like me and you assumed nothing good could come out of the back of a food truck, you may be correct. However, excellent food comes out of the side of Herbs all summer long! Restaurant quality without the frills and added expense. I should have given them a chance years ago.

I walked here from the nearby Residence Inn twice during my 3 day stay. I found this amazing food truck online and I love hearing stories about how people start a second career doing things they find they love (this is what happened to Herb after he retired pretty young). Located near the water, this food truck was not busy both times I arrived near 12 noon. A very pleasant woman greeted me followed by Herb himself and their warm welcome was palpable. My first day, I ordered the Grilled Chicken California Sandwich. It was a large, juicy chicken breast nestled on a toasty bun and accompanied by guacamole, bacon, lettuce, tomato (and anything I wanted, compliments of Herb!). I walked to a nearby bench and devoured it- it was so good! My next visit, I tried the J*** Chicken sandwich and it also was amazing. Crumbled bits of chicken smothered in j*** seasoning atop a similar bun created a different yet equally good flavor. Both sandwiches were $7, which truly is a steal in today's lunch menu market. The menu options ranged from multiple chicken sandwiches to burgers, hot dogs and so much more, including plenty of breakfast options. I so wish Herb's Place was closer to home because I would definitely frequent it!
Herb is a great guy. Highly recommend getting food here. Tastes delicious, affordable, and is made with passion.
