Match is one of our favorite weekend spots to have great food and great ambiance. The service is generally friendly and great.The steak tartare is fantastic as an appetizer or main course. The pizzas are good for anyone from kid to adult.Parking: A large paid lot is located behind the restaurant.

Food was average. Unfortunately, the server would not allow us to order an appetizer while we were deciding upon the entrées. Not sure if this is the restaurant's policy? Seemed like the goal was to turn over the table as quickly as possible.

Totally enjoyed Match Restaurant in South Norwalk . We were seated in the back bar looking at the Pizza oven , very cozy. the Foie Gras was outstanding , Black Truffle Fettuccini and Spicy Sausage excellent . Matts partner Susan gave us VIP service . Love it .

I bought this dinner for my two adult children (in their twenties). They said the food was outstanding and couldn't stop raving about the Carpetbaggers appetizer. More importantly, they said they were treated/served as nice as the other patrons even though they were some of the youngest guests in the restaurant that eve. Thank you Match for providing them with a wonderful experience.

Match never disappoints. Such a lovely time. Food is awesome. Matt Storch knows what's he doing here! Loved particularly the back on, is so buco and of course the delicious gooey cookies.

Came in for New Year's Eve dinner. The host was excellent. The bartender, Jimmy, was spot on. The owner/chef stopped by to inquire about everything, which was a very kind gesture. I've never been let down with Match.
Have heard many great reviews but our food experience was average. Expensive and a 20% gratuity is added to every check. (unknown to us prior to arrival) Fortunately, our service was excellent or this would have been a problem. Gratuity amount is NOT up to the restaurant. IMO, that is a bad practice bordering on bad faith that should be objected to by every diner at every restaurant.

Really enjoyed our friends-gathering several weeks ago. Highly recommend those "curved booths" esp. if you have a party of 6 to snag one. Really provides that cocoon to allow for both privacy and still "participate" in the overall dining room experience. OK, I never rave about swordfish-- but that prep was singly the best I have ever had. We had a terrific server / he was attentive and really "got things right". We brought a special bottle from the cellar for a corkage fee which was v acceptable. GOOD SHOW.
We had a reservation at 8:45pm and we were rushed to order in the next 5 minutes. They closed the kitchen before 9pm. When we tried to order another dish at 9pm they were unable to accommodate. Opentable had another reservation slot open at 9pm. If I had chosen that, wonder what would have happened. It was obvious that everyone there wanted toclose the restaurant and get out of there and did not give a crap about the remaining few customers. The restaurant and Opentable should not allow reservations to be made at a time when the restaurant is not prepared to serve the. customers. Luckily , there are several better choices of restaurants in the vicinity.
