I ordered Joyce's Jamaican Combo and my Mom ordered the Salmon. The oxtails were tender, flavourful and very delicious as was the gravy. The rice and peas were also very delicious with a nice hint of coconut milk. The goat was tasty unfortunately it was over salted. My Mom's salmon was dry/over cooked. The glaze on the salmon was tasty but because the fish was so overcooked it was difficult to enjoy. The space is clean, well laid out and has an overall good vibe.Definitely worth a try.

Portions are ridiculously small. I remember I purchased a large oxtail and it came in this small black container. I can go to Bridgeport, pay $24 and get a big white styrofoam

I called ahead and was greeted by a very nice lady, who explained to me the foods that were available and how if I wanted anything fried I would have to wait but not too long. I then proceeded to let her know that I was going to be coming in in person when I got there, there was good music there a smiles, and I was greeted once again personally, by a very nice person we spoke. I gave her my order, the interest of me, wanting to know about their cabbage let her to give me a small sample of it before I ordered it, which was amazing. The food tasted amazing and so I proceeded with my order of curry goat, the size and portions that they gave were extremely fair for the price, and I would’ve honestly paid more if I knew the food with taste that good 10 out of 10 would recommend to anybody. This place is awesome.

Wow! Order there version of Rasta Pasta (TIS) consist of box, macaroni and cheese, and a piece of j*** chicken on top.. How disrespectful to the culture! If you want real Rasta Pasta, Footprint in Brooklyn, or Dolphin Cove in the Bronx. I paid $21 for garbage.. I’ve dined there previously same thing. Definitely not authentic Jamaican food.. will not be returning…

Awesome vibe! The bar celebrated 420 with a Bob Ross painting party and a DJ! My wife and I loved the j*** chicken alot! Hidden gem in Norwalk come check out Tropical Island Spice!

I ordered the curry shrimp and it was just a disappointment. The rice was dry notice the shrimp was just dry with no kind of gravy in the plantains was just hard for $20.34. I would never go back again.

Food & service were really good! I would definitely recommend. Best Jamaican restaurant in Norwalk.

While I was in Norwalk I thought to try this Jamaican spot. The wait was very long. It wasn't crowded at all for a Saturday night. I waited for my order to go for at 30 to 45 min. In spite of that the food very good. I really enjoyed it. Next time when I visit will call in the order ahead of time. Like many of these restaurants 1 wing = 2 wings... that's not how it should be 1 is 1...period.

It is difficult to find good caribbean cuisine anywhere in particular Jamaican Cuisine that cook, seasoned, flavored and taste like the authentic meal if you have tasted and know what I mean. This hide away Tropical Island Spice lived up to its name. The food was plated appropriately but caused you to ask for more once you started digging in. The server Ralston, C rock the ambiance with the bar and the serving. I do believe once the news gets out they are going to need more parking. I found this place by mere chance looking for a place to hang out with friends and family which is also kids friendly. Go check it out you will not be disappointed and those who have tasted will concur.

Drove in from out of town, called ahead to get my order, i called a second time to let them know i was stuck in traffic, arrived at restaurant, meal wasn't ready. I ordered a second meal, it didn't take long. the staff was pleasant. when i did receive my meal, the entire take out container was full of rice enough for three people, a spoon full of vegetables, not enough gravy and 5 pieces of curry goat. all for 24.99. flavor was there but the quantity was not up to.par. next time I'll order just the curry goat.

This establishment is amazing. Welcoming, comfortable, great staff and the food is immaculate. Everything is made fresh, the chef is more than talented and the drinks will keep you coming back. The rasta pasta was the perfect first try. I will be adding more pictures next time I go. That would be my 4th time and more to come. Would always recommend.

I love caribean food so I had to try this place. I enjoyed the food very much. This place also has great service. There is a little stage area for possible performances.
