Live in NJ and ordered platters from Vavalas Deli to be delivered to family friends in CT. Jeff and his staff were very helpful and accomodating when ordering and delivery was spot on. Food was incredibly fresh, delicious and plentiful. Amazing food and customer service !

Placed a simple order for the ranch chicken cutlet sandwich, drove all the way home to find out they made a turkey and cheese...smh. Was the only customer in there and they still messed up my order. Tried calling them to know their mess up and no one answers the phone. Won't be receiving my business again. AVOID!

I can't say enough good things about this deli. The food is amazing and fresh every time. They take no shortcuts which I truly respect. They've got a great selection of drinks and additional foods/ snacks. Mac salad is always great! The menu has any deli item you can think of and then some. I am always so tough on buffalo chicken wraps because they're my favorite. This is the best buffalo chicken wrap in Norwalk. I would say it could be slightly spicier but I do like that it's nice and light. I've had some others around Norwalk that are so overly seasoned and spiced. This one on the other hand is as close to perfection as of say. The employees are very polite and always offer good conversation. 10/10 place I recommend it to all of my friends, family, and co workers.

Vavala's Deli & Catering I worry that the Karen patrol could mess with my (our) quest for a return to normal life. But my experience today was just too rich not to share: Thought I would get a hotdog at five guys for lunch before my long evening at work. They won't let you in! You got to phone from curbside! That store is huge. There's no reason for this b******** Tried calling several times constantly busy. Door was locked. So I went right around the corner to Vavala's deli. Let's just say that there didn't appear to be any mask police. The hot corn beef and Swiss with rye sandwich I had was probably the best I've ever eaten. And I'm retirement age. It was so tender I didn't have to worry about pulling the meat out of the sandwich with every bite. And it was effing delicious! Awesome to sit outside on such a great day too. I've worked in production my whole life. It's obvious to me when a system is working well.. The place was absolutely spotless and comfortably air-conditioned. The two young men operating the joint where hustling and also a very clean and neat and their appearance This type of meal is One of the simple pleasures that I took for granted until this government lockdown thuggery.

When the prior deli that was in this location closed, it left a giant hole in the neighborhood for a great sandwich. We had tried many places but sadly, nothing could compare. We drove by this afternoon and finally noticed that this place had opened and decided we had to give it a try. We had high expectations and they were more than blown away! From the seeded wedges, shredded lettuce, and super fresh ingredients piled high, we knew we had finally found a new go to! The menu is filled with the classics as well as some creative and delicious sounding salads and sandwiches! Breakfast is served all day and the staff/owner were super friendly.

Ordered here yesterday after spotting a good deal for 2 for 1 sandwiches. Ordered 3 different varieties to try them out.The Norwalk Cutlet sandwich was quite tasty. Good ratio of the cutlet to cheese to bacon with nice russian dressing. It was a larger sandwich than I expected leaving to plenty of leftovers.The turkey club sandwich was also extremely generous with the turkey, a very full sandwich. Pretty good for a turkey club, just one of these sandwiches will keep you full for quite awhile.The bacon egg and cheese sandwich hits the spot the first thing in the morning. As with the other sandwiches it was a great value for the amount you get.Overall a great experience and I'll be ordering from here again!
