Found this gem in a quick search. We aren’t from the local area and chose 36 based on other reviews. Man, great food and service. Stuffed mushroom caps were amazing! Teriyaki chicken was amazing! Fried Mahi Tacos were amazing! Take all that and add Chiara, our waitress who provided great service and you get a total win!Highly recommended!

A true gem in a culinary desert. While in town this past week, I discovered this restaurant and glad that I did. I ate there three times and each time the service and the food was of top-quality. On my first visit I had the burger, which is a half-pound of fresh beef. And along with the french fries, it was one of the best burgers and fries I've had. The last two visits I ordered the clam strips. I'd have them a second time because they were just incredible, sweet, tender, and of top quality. Every time I am in Norwich, I will eat here most of the time.

Always love going here. Great specials and service. We never have to worry about food or service there. Also prices are fair. Their cocktail list is also amazing.

We happen to come across this place one evening while out doing errands. it certainly was a great find, the staff was so friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in the door to when we left. The menu has a really good selection and something for everybody but not so large that it gets you confused. The seafood was extremely fresh and delicious. Also nicely decorated and very clean. We will definitely be back.

Food is good, has a wide menu offering. Its a pretty basic local tavern good to bring family too.

We had our Mother's Celebration of Life at this restaurant. The staff and owners were fantastic. The food was delicious, service was outstanding and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Thank you for making this day a special memory for our family. Best regards, Family of Margaret Mathewson

Went for lunch with family of 5 and a younger kid. Menu options were plenty. GF roll options was nice. The clam chowder was very good. The server helped modify food choices that we requested. All the burgers were cooked perfectly as ordered. Would recommend. Our server Leslie was very niceParking: It's in a plaza area so plentyKid-friendliness: Kids menu but also would accommodate a modification for kid friendly appetites

Horrible meal, very disappointed. My Surf & Turf was terrible. The Prime Rib cut was a 1/8 inch cut, with boiled red potatoes and 2 sad stuffed soggy shrimp in a pool of water. Also had stuffed mushrooms and again the "seafood stuffing" was soggy, like baby food with a taste of seafood, which makes me wonder where that taste came from. Nothing seafood about it except the "taste", no seafood of any kind. With the lobster bomb reviews being so good we thought, let's try it, nope, it bombed alright. Do we mention that the Reuben we ordered was dry as leather and the shrimp scampi was over cooked . Huge disappointment considering we ordered 3 entrees and an appetizer only to have them all "bomb". We will never go back, we don't recommend.

Food is so good. I love their patty melt. Nice little bar. We usually eat in there. Atmosphere is quiet.

Small restaurant/ bar in a strip mall. Liked the art on the walls but it was a little on the dark side lighting wise.Service was very good. Attentive and fairly quick. Waitresses seemed friendly and nice. This place got many good to great reviews. There was a pretty good crowd of people for a lunchtime so obviously popular. The food was really only barely okay.Their clam chowder was thick like paste and very light on clams and potatoes and I'm going to guess reheated. The meat entree was over salted. The potatoes and vegetables that came with my entree had a weird off flavor. Again maybe stored in a refrigerator uncovered so absorbed some weird flavors and then reheated. My friend ordered a burger and was not impressed. If you can't make a great, delicious tasting, fresh burger, you are in trouble. And her sweet potato fries were soft and mushy, not crispy and not well seasoned.I wanted to really like this place after reading the reviews but do need to say I was really disappointed with the food. Maybe they were having an off day but.......Parking: Plenty of free parking in a lot with disabled parking spots.

First of all the other reviews here and elsewhere are accurate with their suggestions. We had a lunch meet up for the holiday season and chose here as an intermediary place. Let's begin- French onion soup was excellent. I saw it in another review and tried it. The burgers were great. Hit the spot. It is hard to mess up a burger and they do not. In a few places the fries were mentioned. These were excellent. The wait staff was top notch too, with spectacular service. This definitely adds to the enjoyment of a restaurant experience. The location fits the name "town grill". I love finding local gems. This is definitely one for Norwichtown. So if you're in the 395/route 2 intersection area of Connecticut - short distance from both casinos- this place will surprise you!

Fantastic find! I moved from Virginia Beach, VA to Norwich three months ago and have been trying local eateries when I can. Chiara made this experience incredible! I had the lobster mac n cheese, and feel like an official New Englander since that was my first time having lobster. 36 Town Grill & Tap has a very extensive menu and the key lime pie is perfection.
