Restaurant ambience was dull, portion sizes were rather small considering price point. One issue that stood out to me was the matter of tipping, the waitress seemed overly concerned about tip, even after this was already provided, I’ve never been obligated to tip 20% this created a somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere. It’s worth mentioning that this may have been an isolated incident, and not reflective of the entire staff’s behavior. Also I did felt kind of unwelcome.Overall, my dining experience at this restaurant was not a good one.

The food was very good. We had soup and various rolls. The service was a bit slow. The dining room layout is very basic/boring. It got very loud as the place filled up.

Delicous meal! I had the spicy miso ramen. I typically eat ramen all over CT/RI/MA, and this is about middle of the road. Much better than expected! The broth was surprisingly rich & complex, and the noodles were thin with great texture.

I always eat here before going to the Casino. Fantastic food, wide selection, speedy staff and easy parking. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants. It does have a LARGE but classic sushi restaurant menu so take that into account if you have any dietary restrictions. I typically find vegetarians can still find a decent number of options.Vegetarian options: Lots of varietyDietary restrictions: Vegetarian optionsParking: Plenty of spotsWheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp

Took my family out for dinner and our experience was 5*. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. Our son loved the house lo mein. The Shrimp tempura batter was light and crispy and the rolls were awesome. We also got the Crazy roll, spider roll, volcano roll and hot mama rolls. We'll be back for more. Nice portion sizes. Lovely waitress.

A nice surprise! Looking for a sushi restaurant on our way back from NH. Everything was perfect, great service, food, lots of variety for us low carb eaters. Will definitely go back soon. Sapporo on draft, yes!

I've been here many times. I'm never surprised to leave happy. but always amazed with every new thing I try. As always the staff is pleasant and on point. I love their welcoming smile and attentiveness to your needs. The food was amazing.

I wanted to give this place a try to get their yaki udon. It has a smallish interior that seems equally split into two halves plus a bar. They had light instrumental jazz style music playing, and when I was here for lunch I was the only patron. In addition to their beef yaki udon I also got their lunch sushi sashimi special. Everything came out very quickly, and service was friendly and attentive throughout. The udon was pleasantly slurpy with a good beef flavor, no weak sauce here. The sushi sashimi plate was all fresh tasting, and I was happy to see tamago on the plate as that's unusual but a great closer. I would say the California roll is forgettable, largely cucumber with little else. Luckily I had plenty of other evidence to say this place can put out some good sushi. The price was also reasonable, which can be tough to find nowadays in a restaurant.

Had the firecracker roll - it was very good and not too spicy. I also got the miso ramen, and THAT was spicy but delicious. Overall it was a great place to eat and the atmosphere wasn't too busy.

Mido Sushi Bistro & Bar in Norwich, CT, earns a solid 4-star review. This spot boasts great sushi, creating a lively and enjoyable dining atmosphere. The spicy kani salad is a standout, offering a delightful kick. The beef negimaki appetizer, with sliced beef and scallion wrapped in teriyaki sauce, adds a savory touch to the menu. The specialty rolls, especially the dragon roll, showcase the chef's creativity and skill. While not perfect, Mido Sushi Bistro & Bar is a reliable choice for those seeking a diverse and tasty sushi experience in Norwich.
