OMG I can't believe it's our first time here, OUTSTANDING. BEST BAGELS & pastries we've had in a very long time. I think they are closing at the end of the month. At least we experienced it once!!!!

I've been here a few times and every other time was great, today was just different. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon egg and cheese just to take it home and add more ingredients to it. At first I couldn't tell that there was any bacon in the sandwich. When I have ordered previously you could see it sticking out of the sandwich. I'm chalking this visit up to it being a fluke day as it was pretty steady when I went, yet I don't understand why the food quality went down.

It was very busy when we stopped by to get something sweet for my husband's birthday. Service was quick and friendly. Yummy treats and don't get me started on the smell of the fresh bread! We'll be back!

I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, the coffee was terrible and the service was worse. Not friendly at all. The woman there acted like it was a chore to make my order. She was obviously training a new employee and not setting a very good example. The muffins were ok but not worth the subpar service. Oh and did I mention, the coffee was TERRIBLE?

Russian rye bread is fantastic. Outstanding bakery all around.
Poppy and Rye in Taftville just made an amazing 1/4 double sheet vanilla cake with Bavarian cream for a wedding rehearsal dinner, and allowed me to bring berries to put in it. I ordered it in-person Wednesday late morning, and it was ready exactly when I asked it to be for 2:30 the next afternoon. It was very pretty and totally delicious! After a huge meal, all 22 guests ate every bite of their cake serving because it was so good!! (So many places are short-staffed, and this bakery is one of them, so allow a lot of time when you go in to order. They also have an amazing array of egg sandwiches, coffee, and loaves of bread, but, I haven't tried anything else yet.)

The spot to stop on the way to work for a quick and delicious breakfast, with fresh breads and pastries made right there in the store oh, and a great little dining area to sit in with a wonderful View at the golf course and so on

This place used to be good, now they've become lazy and careless. The bagels are actually good but good luck trying to get fresh ones during "breakfast hours". Every time we call to order bagels around 8:30 or 9:00 they haven't even started making fresh bagels yet and they will offer you day old bagels NOT at a discounted price. One time we witnessed the owner filing our bag with a mixture of fresh bagels and day old bagels. Any "real" bagel place has fresh bagels ready to go by 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning and on... because that is when people are looking to buy them, not at 9:30-10:00 in the morning.
