Excellent food!!! Our waitress Gabriella was fantastic and the ambiance was relaxing and cozy. Loved my broiled Cod and Dans linguini with clam sauce was amazing. Can't recommend it higher. Just moved to town a couple months ago and already one of our “go to's”

Delicious food. The garlic bread wasn't crispy more like having cheese on an Italian loaf which made it soft and made the butter run which made it a little messy. The friend mozz was perfect. Eggplant rollatini special Was delicious but I felt that the red sauce was very sweet. The meatballs in the pasta was cooked very well but again the red sauce was very sweet. Maybe this is how it normally is I don't know but didn't expect it to be so sweet. Definitely will return and maybe try some entrees that aren't with red sauce just not my style.

I go for the pizza and broccoli rabe. They also make a good martini. Nice grinders and surprisingly, a great burger. Friendly staff. Happy for their reopening.

Luigi's is the best old school Italian restaurant! We have been dining there for 20+ years and it never fails to please! You will enjoy your dining experience thoroughly-be sure to have that fantastic bread!

We first discovered Luigi's over the summer we went to an outdoor festival in Old Saybrook along main street. They had a pop up and were giving out freshly made bread with a garlic dressing. We instantly became obsessed with the fresh bread and the garlic dip we couldn't wait to try the restaurant. We finally did. We went on a weekday afternoon, so it wasn't busy. Our server Cindy was very nice and attentive. We didn't see the fresh bread and garlic dip on the menu, so we asked Cindy about it and she brought out fresh warm bread and each our own cup of the garlic dressing. We had to obviously eat it all because the bread was so warm and fresh. It did not disappoint the second time. We also each ordered our own pasta dish but did not eat a lot as we were full of the bread, so most was taken for leftovers. The serving sizes of the pasta were massive. I had penne alla vodka which the penne wasn't too al dente (I don't really like it when its al dente), and it was doused in plenty of the rich pink creamy sauce. I had this plate for leftover over the next two days, personally I thought it even tasted better left over than it did fresh and usually I don't find pasta to taste better left over.

Having frequented Luigi's throughout my childhood, I was sorry to hear of their temporary 2023 closure due to flood. I never could've imagined that the dining experience would be improved but I was pleasantly surprised. The food is as good as ever; their favorite family recipes never disappoint. The ambience is beautiful and comfortable, with outstanding attention not only to decor but to details. Tabletop flameless candles are on trend, drinking glasses are pretty and comfortable, and the menu folders are stunning. I didn't remember how horrible QR codes taped to tables were until I perused the beautiful, upscale menu at Luigi's. The food has been 100% delicious for decades and I urge you to visit and enjoy the upgraded dining experience.

The meals are delicious, and the pizza is out of this world,I love the clams casino pie. Another favorite is a pepperoni and sausage light sauce with extra cheese. All of their dishes are delicious . I'm discovering that I like their pizza sauce better than their others, but that's just me. They have great house cocktails as well as bar specials. My only complaint is that their rib roast isn't prime grade.I would rather spend a few more dollars and get an exception meal. Their rib roast is delicious, but it could be better if they complimented their wonderful seasoning and great cooking method with the appropriate grade of beef. Five stars and high recommended.

A solid 3 stars. It's nice that you can make a reservation online, I do actually recommend the bar room over the dining room there seems to be more space. The service was great, probably some of the best I have had at a mid priced restaurant. The downside, was that they now took away the salads from the dinner entrees. So a $22 chicken parm dinner is now $28 if you add the house salad. The free bread was very good, the chicken parm was decent, a tad soggy and cut a tad too thick. Portion size seemed a smaller than other Italian places in the area, as it was only one piece of chicken. Overall, it's definitely worth a stop if you are in the area, the large parking lot in the back is a plus too.

First time back since the remodel.. AMAZING, to say the least! Attentive staff, clean dining area and bathrooms and good energy. Started with Pistachio and Almond coconut martinis; Excellent! We split the Calamari, Caesar salad, Chicken Marsala and Lasagna. Everything was fresh, great flavors, and good portions. All at a reasonable price. My GF mentioned that the marinara was just like the "nonnie's." We will definitely be back!!!

This place is a hidden gem. The food is delicious ? and they use local small businesses for the ingredients they use. Everything is made from scratch. Even their bread is out of this world. This is a great place to take your family for dinner, grab apps and drinks with friends and also perfect for a romantic date night. I just found this place months ago and they said they just did a renovation. Its just beautiful in there. The staff are very friendly and all dressed neat and clean. It adds to the whole style. The best part is that this place is family owned and they all work together. The photos they have on the wall you can see their generations grow and how some of them work there with the rest of their family. Like I said earlier I just found this place like 2 months ago and I've ordered out 3 times and eaten in twice and everytime the food is amazing. One time I ordered out and the order was wrong and they refunded me the money, remade the dish and gave us $5 off coupons to return. And I didn't even make a fuss about it. It just really shows you how much they value their customers and take pride in their business. This is how all restaurants should run. We will definitely be returning.Vegetarian options: Pasta and salads..eggplant parm..fried artichokes etc...
