“Stopped here yesterday. So glad I did. After reading the reviews was a must . Was greeted with kindness and a smile . Sat . Waitress was friendly! Great for families. Wide selection menu items. Owners greeting young families with young children with donuts . You can feel that they love what they do. Very passionate is nice to see. I ordered the Philly omelette with coffee. In minutes Served hot. Very good . I will be back.“
“I am a teacher at a local elementary school and went to lunch here with my colleagues on our professional development day. I had planned to order an omelette as I have a gluten allergy, but didn’t realize that breakfast hours had ended. Although breakfast had ended, the gentleman at the counter was kind enough to put in my order. My Western omelette was delicious and I am so impressed with their customer service! This was my first visit to Eagle’s View and I will definitely return.“
“When you walk in the workers are Friendly and it is a cute nice environment. Pancakes were huge and delicious! What more could you ask. Toast and bacon were enjoyable. Eggs were a tad runny but good. Home fries were thick. The food came pretty quickly and the server checked in often. Overall we thought it was a great little place.“
“I was raised in that section of west hartford. I talked about that diner for years. My boss and good friend Bob ran a citgo gas station fown the road and he wourld bring in coffee from the diner. I loved it. Wife and I sat on the stools had a fantastic basic breakfast . Been 45 years. It was so good to go back. Thank you.“
“We really enjoyed our lunch. It's a family run place, there was a constant flow of patrons in and out (which is reassuring, and the help us from the moment we walked in , until departure. If I'm in Waterbury again, I'll surely visit again“
“What a great place to have breakfast. I only come here for breakfast but let me tell you the portions are big. I always leave there stuffed! It's a good thing! Friendly and very lively food is awesome ? Even my granddaughter had a great time.“
“I was a bit indecisive about what I wanted. This is not new. I’m this way when it comes to eating out. We had a great server Ginger who was absolutely great at her job. She suggested the southwestern omelette and it was great. Wife’s very picky and even she was loving the food. Ginger went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed and constantly came to check in us. Thanks ginger!! Great place to bring your family.“
“Good service. Big fluffy pancakes. Good sandwiches. Can't complain when you can get kielbasa to go with your eggs and home fries. It's not fancy, they don't serve mimosas and Bloody Marys. They're doing the Mom and Pop diner. No complaints.“
“This diner was really good, bordering on fantastic. It was a true retro dining experience straight from the 1950s.There is counter and booth seating in the main part of the diner, in addition to the dining room attached to the back.I went in wanting a burger, but got sidetracked with a Ruben. I do not regret my decision. My only disappointment was that the milkshake didn't have any whipped cream on top. That would have been the bee's knees: just simply swell. The Olymia is conveniently located on the Berlin Turnpike, if that's someplace that's convenient to where you are. If it isn't, than it isn't.For dessert, I enjoyed the mud pie. I'm not sure how authentic it was, but it was pretty tasty.I could wax poeticly on how eating here transported me through time to a time when the future was less chaotic, but that wouldn't be necessarily what you're looking for in a review. What I will say is that I enjoyed my meal despite how my lactose intolerance reacted to that delicious milkshake I enjoyed. Mind you, I knew I would suffer for having it, but as I came here to relive memories from over two decades prior, it was well worth the sacrifice to my night's well-being.Vegetarian options: There were a few items on the menu without meat, though to be honest, I didn't study the menu too studiously. There could be more than I realized.Dietary restrictions: Please inform your server if you have any dietary restrictions.Parking: Set back from the street by a little bit, there is a surprisingly large parking lot with plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: As much as I detest to admit it, this place is kid friendly. As I was brought here as a kid, I wouldn't deny that experience to the next generation of disappointments. They have at least one high chair.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp in the front and tables in the back. The aisle offered wide passage. The bathroom, however, wasn't that accessible.“
“The last time I was in the area I drove over an hour and waited around ten minutes to be able to sit down not only because they were super busy but more importantly because I know their food is so good I would have waited another hour if I had to. The smells alone are enough to drive someone’s brainwaves and tastebuds into a pure bliss that is only obtained by the most amazing of things! The atmosphere was exactly as you would expect for around mid day on a Sunday in one of the greatest spots ever, packed full of happy people and a wait staff that is an absolute pleasure to watch operate. I swear they move like a well oiled machine only way better! I can only imagine how everything looks behind the scene and after experiencing the final products I’m left to believe it’s a display that matches the energy and precision we get to witness out front. My go to has always been a breakfast chimichanga usually with bacon and ham but they do also offer sausage as well. I can not express enough how amazing I find it and the worst part, for me at least, is someone else may think they can make one but I’ve yet to come across anyone who can even come close to the absolute magic that comes out on the plate when you order one from here. My only regret is never giving them a chance when I lived right down the road. Now I am far away and coming here is a rare treat. Don’t be like me. Go there every chance you get. You will not be disappointed“
