“I stopped in here with my friend a few weeks ago to get poke bowls and boba. My peach tea with popping strawberry boba was amazing!!!! The build your own poke bowl option is really fun to do too if you like picking your own options for things. Such a cute little hidden gem for sure!“
“We have been going to Gohan since they opened and always leave with a full belly and happy heart! The food is amazing and the experience is second to none. Can’t say enough great things about Will and Rachel and how they run their restaurant.“
“I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. The culinary offerings were exquisite, complemented by a delightful atmosphere and attentive staff. The freshness of the food truly stood out. My companions and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning. Without hesitation, I will be recommending Ikura to others. Thank you for providing a truly wonderful dining experience!“
“the specialty lover roll was fantastic! it is my third time ordering from this place and both takeout and dine in lunch were fresh and delicious. came in on a Sunday afternoon and only one other set of people were there. highly recommend you come give yume a try!!“
“If I could give the service more than five stars I would. Don't get me wrong the food was great also but May was fantastic. This is a very unassuming place, it small and super nice. They have so many different choices, from sushi to hibachi.“
“This is a hidden gem located in Waterbury, CT. They offer the freshest, most delicious sushi I've ever had in Connecticut. Their menu boasts unique selections, alongside all the classics, ensuring there's something to please every palate.Be sure to try the Waterbury roll, it's a true explosion of flavor!“
“Hidden in the corner, somewhere in Newington. Tokyo Cafe was a pleasantly delicious and wholesome surprise. My partner and I decided to venture out and try somewhere new and we may have just found our new regular spot. The dining room doesn’t have too much seating (6-8 tables max) and I would definitely consider it an intimate but cozy vibe. We frequent sushi of all calibers, this isn’t meant to be compared to Nobu or other establishments of the sort. It is an excellent neighborhood sushi restaurant. The food was fresh and delectable . My partner really enjoyed the Kani Salad as an appetizer. She said it was unique in taste and refreshing. I had a house salad with ginger dressing and the miso soup which was just what I wanted and what you would expect. We also shared the Pepper Tuna Tataki ??? absolutely delightful. I must mention all from the dressing to the consistency of the kani salad, this wasn’t the generic all you can eat, run of the mill spot. The very nice lady that waited on us was very attentive and put care into her work. The Sushi Itamae delivered with a beautiful presentation and construction of the “Sushi Sashimi Combo 4 Us”. We finished the meal off with some fried ice cream and left happy and full. I would recommend this place and we will be returning.“
“This place has become so popular over the last couple of years for their sushi. Literally drive out of.my way to come here whenever I get the chance. Food is always fresh and sushi is on point. Cannot recommend this place enough. But dinner time will be a wait even with a reservation as this place is so popular.“
“Little “hole in the wall” type of place. We dined in but they do a ton of takeout because the restaurant is so small. I’m allergic to shellfish and the chef was very careful when making my rolls. We also ordered the vegetable tempura. All of it was delicious! Not a super fancy sushi spot, but highly suggest.Dietary restrictions: The chef was very cognizant of my shellfish allergy, always a worry at a sushi spot!“
“Great sushi, great service, great price. Can't beat it (get the large sake?)Honestly love a lot of the sushi places. As long as the ingredients are fresh you really can't go bad with sushi and it was all fresh and delicious here. And I love that it looked family owned and operated, I like the more relaxed places like this, it makes it more comfortable. I'll definitely be back here again and again ♡♡“
“A very few and far between authentic asian restaurant here in CT. I have been to Xi'an on multiple occasions and I can truly say the food is AUTHENTIC. Not only is the food great but so is the service. The LiangPi noodles is a well know street food in Xi'an and they have successfully brought it here to my neighborhood. Upon the other dishes I have tried, my personal favorites are the cumin beef noodle, spicy sour lamb dumplings, as well as the pork sauce noodles. I highly recommend this place as this is now my go to food spot!“
“Marissa was a great waitress. She was very on top of making sure everyone was happy with their food. She was patient with me about ordering. I personally am not huge into sushi but my boyfriend is very much a fan of this place's sushi. I really liked the Rock and Roll rolls. Ate about half of it, my poor boyfriend. He also got the Tiger Roll. He enjoyed it. He liked dipping all the rolls into the provided sauce. I got the tempura udon which was really good. The tempura onion rings and broccoli made me think of "onion rings lite". Wasn't greasy at all.Now on to my no-no for the place. The seating arraignment is a little weird. And the green tea (as a green tea snob) was not very good. Maybe it's just that green tea, I don't know.“
“Fast and friendly service. The cooks are friendly and nice unlike some other mall Japanese places. No more $6-7 special, but prices are fair and portions are huge. I tried bubble tea here for the first time and it was fantastic. I pretty much eat here anytime I am at the mall.“
“Very small place (I'm assuming they do mostly take out), still very nice inside. Food is outstanding and priced comparable. Service was ok. I felt like we were bothering the waitress but sitting down and eating. She wasn't rude or mean though. I would definitely get food from here again.“
“This sushi place was one of my favorite. Recently the rolls are so huge that they always fall apart. They taste ok , but not sure why they make them so big. Also the seaweed is very chewy compared to other places. Not sure if it’s a new chef, but it’s definitely different.“
“It was a rather interesting restaurant to visit. I've been to quite a few in Connecticut, however, this one had the services of Habachi's! This was very interesting! I had a gender reveal invitation and ended up visiting.....it was nice, I plan to revisit with my girlfriend. Also, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very exciting.“
“We stopped here for some quick sushi due to its proximity to the Truck Bar. It was a good find! A little hole in the wall place in a large plaza. The service was excellent, very attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was a little underwhelming, as it seemed to keep busy with mostly takeout orders as opposed to dine in. The food itself was good, not the greatest sushi ever, but it hit the spot for a sushi craving!“
“My family went here for Hibachi (with the chef preparing food at the Hibachi table) and had a very good experience. The food was good and drinks were reasonably priced for West Hartford and strong. The chef was entertaining and put on a good show. The environment was nice but also kid friendly. There is a 20% service fee for dining in the Hibachi showroom as other reviewers have noted, however there is a sign stating that at the entrance and the server was up front about it as well, so it wasn't a surprise and does make sense given the extra service as part of the experience.I'll definitely come back in the near future!“
“I have been coming here for the longest and got closer to the owners and they are honestly the sweetest people around! some of the best service i’ve witnessed, and always on top with creating a pleasant experience. love the fuji family, thank you!!“
“Always love coming here. The food is quality and more or less comes out quickly and is accurate. My only issue with the restaurant is your reservation is really not a reservation? It just holds a spot in line. I have never arrived to my table being ready.“
“First time going here and I ate very well! We were seated immediately and our server was kind. My friend and I enjoyed all of our sushi rolls! The gyoza was AMAZING, perfectly cooked. The dining area was clean with the perfect amount of lighting. Can't wait to go back! But, entrance area can use a remodel as it looks a little unkempt. I do wish parking was better here as it's on a main road with a very small lot.“
“THE BEST! MUST GET MISO SOUP! I had the superman roll & dancing eel roll was delicious!!!!! And so close to home!!! So happy to have found this place!!! Delicious and highly recommend! And it’s BYOB ? ( should I stay delicious one more time LOL!)Only thing I wish is that they had crab Rangoon. Thats it!Parking: In a huge parking lot!“
