After a round of golf, I decided to swing by for some grub, and man, I was in for a treat. The Ale House Burger was a taste explosion in my mouth. They slathered it with this amazing homemade sauce that was out of this world. I'm not kidding; it's hands down one of the best burger sauces I've ever had. And the buffalo wings, oh boy, they were just perfect. They had a nice kick to them without being too fiery, just the way I like it. I couldn't stop munching on those bad boys. The beer selection was downright impressive, with something for everyone's palate. I'm definitely making it a point to drop by next time I'm in the area.

The service was great so no complaints there. My issue was definitely the food. My friend had a chicken pot pie which was just a chicken pot pie adjacent soup that was served in a bread bowl. It was like something you could get from Panera for half the price. Calling this a pie is a disservice. I had the fish and chips. The chips were cooked very well, but the fish was overcooked. I do appreciate that it was fresh fish and battered in house, but it could have used a minute less in the fry basket.Also my friend wanted me to edit here : the chicken pot "pie" was also incredibly bland.

Absolutely love this place! Been coming here for 2 years and have never been disappointed. Wendy is the best bartender, super friendly and amazing bartender! All employees are very welcoming and friendly.Would highly recommend the burgers! The quesadilla with chicken is an amazing appetizer to share. Had almost every item on the menu and love every dish.
Tried Portland Ale House last night for the first time... 4 1/2 stars, can I do that? It wasn't perfection, but it was really good!! Sarah, our server was very attentive and sweet- have fun in Germany!! We shared the fried pickled, usually a go to wherever we can get them, and these were the only bad thing we ordered. They were so salty that we couldnt even get 1/4 of the way through. My husband said that his burger with blue cheese on it was one of the best burgers he's had. It was cooked perfectly and has quality blue cheese on it. It was a 5+. I had the crab cakes and French onion soup, both very good! Theres also a great selecrion of draft beers. We'll definitely be back!
