It was comfortably crowded - some people sat; others stood and mingled for a bit with wine and other drinks, before wee all sat down for lunch. There were 25 of us. The food was great and it all arrived right around the same time. The staff were very attentive and Kayla, the event coordinator, was good to work with to get it all planned (I live 7 hours away, so all planning was done via email). I would highly recommend it. It was so nice to have a private space where we could mingle and talk without bothering other diners.“

Also the nacho chips and cheese dip were equally delicious. I said, "I wish I was an octopus with two heads and a second stomach!" I wanted to snarf down everything on my plate, it was sooo darn good!! The icing on the cake was waddling like a stuffed penguin back to the car, as I was left full and satisfied. “I was in Dayville and I was starving. I stopped into Railside Tavern and loved the welcome and the look. Huge menu, lots of seafood, beef, and pasta choices, big plus, angel hair is an option. I got the chicken picata w/ angel hair, lots of capers, no artichoke hearts. Served very hot, juicy with plenty of lemon sauce, I liked it, chicken was slightly over cooked. I then had a cup of lobster bisque, it was very good, great broth and lots of ground lobster, no chunks but obviously lots of ground lobster, yummy! For desert I had the special offering of apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Of course, awesome!! If you're in the area or passing through, definitely check out Railside Tavern, I'm still happily stuffed!!“

“Our first visit. What a lovely little cafe! It was busy on this Sunday afternoon but we got a table. Staff are very friendly. There is local art all over and some for sale. They serve local soda and use locally grown food and meats where possible. On Saturdays you might catch some live music.We ordered a bison burger which was cooked correctly and tasted good. A pastrami Reuben which was delicious. They said it’s their most ordered sandwich. Had the “award winning” chili. It was good. It was fresh but not much spice. You can add hot sauce to it like I did. I also had a fish wrap, one of the daily specials. I didn’t care for it. The haddock was flaky and yummy but the Thai sauce didn’t go with the fish in my opinion and it was messy to eat. I ended up unfolding the wrap and eating just the fish with a fork.“

The same parking lot has been used in the winter for xmas tree sales in the past.“
