Great takeout place. We order from here a couple of times a month. The food is very good and the service is efficient and courteous. They are always on tinte.Unlike some Chinese places, Empire Szechuan has flavorful food, where each entree has a distinct taste. We love it.

A recent transplant to the area we were cautiously optimistic about the food (based on reviews we read)...and our optimism was reinforced! Our take out order was ready on time...and it was mostly delicious. While we felt the steamed vegetable dumplings were just okay, everything else was fresh and delicious! Sesame Chicken was the right balance of flavors, not at all cloyingly sweet like many restaurants seem to tend toward. General Tso's Chicken and the Kung Pau Chicken were both nicely spiced. And the plain, steamed vegetables were perfectly cooked and a nice complement to the other dishes. Frankly, the best Chinese food we've had in a long time. We will definitely be recurring customers. (While there are tables for dining in, no one was eating in the restaurant...but there was a a steady stream of people picking up and calling in orders.)

The food is really not good. Got their lunch special today - Hunan beef that is meant to be spicy. Absolutely no flavor though the beef was tender and lots of broccoli. Had an egg roll - greasiest I've had in my life. The greasy was dripping out of the little bag. I keep trying with this place - that was the last time.

Most of the food is okay, however egg drop soup was clearly bad: grayish color, malodorous, and inedible. I brought the full container of soup back, tried to get a refund for the soup, and the front desk woman was incredibly rude and hostile. She turned around to smell the soup before telling me how “fresh” it was from yesterday. She ultimately gave me the refund but not before insulting me. Will definitely not be going back to this place.

Fast easy great takeout. We enjoyed the beef and broccoli, garlic chicken and moo Shu. It can be hard to find Asian food that feels healthy. This is a great option for anyone who wants yummy clean Asian food. Service was friendly and fantastic. And we look forward to coming back again when we are in the area.

This place is the only Chinese take out restaurant I will eat in Ridgefield. The staff is so friendly, the food has always been consistent and great ! We order at least 2-3 times a month. It is pricey but it definitely good food. My whole family loves this place . Thank you to the wonderful staff and the constant GREAT food !!Vicky

I loveeeee Chinese food and I always try new places what a disappointment, Food was horrible. Not to mention They are overpriced.
I’ve only ever ordered chicken or duck from this restaurant and the ingredients have always been of high quality. Note that on holidays, they don’t honor lunch specials ordered on the website although I couldn’t find this policy on the site

Being new to Ridgefield from the city and looking for some good Szechuan Chinese -- we found it here. Extensive menu with solid options. Reasonably priced for the generous portions served. So happy to have a go-to spot in town as great as this.
