We recently took out of town guests for a pre-Playhouse dinner and were not disappointed. They were blown away by the selections and delicious food. While quite busy and lively, we never had a concern about missing our showtime.

We loved everything. Perfect meal on every level. Nothing pretentious but high quality and prepared deliciously. Right amount of elegance but not at all stuffy environment. Casual and sophisticated.

Amanda took very good care of us. We enjoyed our food, company and service. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked through the door. It was a great kickoff to a special evening.

New to us. Had an early pre-show dinner in the bar. Some excellent food. Attentive service. The house special of Spaghetti tossed in a Parmigiano Reggiano wheel was absolutely outstanding. The veal scallopini was a bit overcooked. A house Gorgonzola salad was excellent. We will come again.

Started with the wonderful caviar and prosecco appetizer then enjoyed the delicious pasta with shaved black truffles. My wife loved the grilled artichoke stuffed with sweet lobster and crab.

Unfortunately, not the best experience or food. Atmosphere was good but that's kinda where it ended. The service was excruciatingly slow. The receptionist took our order. We barely saw her the rest of the evening. When the food came out it was tasteless - really poor. Portions are very small, just not good from the appetizers through main course. We wanted to like it and support our local businesses but I wouldn't recommend. Time is so valuable - I'd pass

Gallo is a friendly, clean and overall a beautiful restaurant. Their specials are always top notch. The owner is very friendly and the staff are awesome!!!! Very nice hostess who truly cares about making her customers happy.

This is a lovely restaurant with excellent service. I thought the food somewhat uneven- some dishes superb, some cool, not imaginative. All were rather heavily salted. I would return to try this place again. My husband and I both had the restaurant week menu which is not their standards too.

Extremely disappointed. Was served the worst caesar salad I have ever had in my life. Iceburg lettuce and parmesean- no caesar dressing! no croutons! no anchovies- totally bland. Then I orderd the Branzino- menu described it as "Salt- crusted WHOLE Branzino fileted". What came out was some pieces of white fish with sauteed spinach. No whole fish, no salt crusted, no explanation. $38 and no potatoes or rice. Last but certainly not least, despite having made a reservation 2 days earlier, we were seated at a table right behind the hostess stand that looked like it had been added because they were crowded. It was noisy and in the middle of foot traffice. Spent $300 to eat disappointing food and be on display for every diner who entered or exited.

My meal started with the freshest bread I've ever had in a restaurant, warm and soft. The caesar salad was very nice, with just the right amount of cheese and croutons. The Orecchiette was cooked perfectly, and the sausage and brussel sprouts in the dish were excellent. I asked them to hold the cheese that goes on top, and it still tasted great!

The food was very good, we had a steak dish and a swordfish dish. The only thing that was off that the wine glasses seem to have an odd smell, perhaps it was the cleaning solution.

Beautiful, comfortable, elegant and delicious food is what we experienced here. We had dinner before going to the local movie theater. Everything thing was so good , only wished my desert of carrot cake was room temp, not cold. I don't know how that can better be managed.

If you're looking for exceptional Italian cuisine with heavy-handed portions, Gallo is the place to be. Staff is friendly, efficient and makes you feel comfortable with its Italian hospitality. I can't speak for many of the select dishes because I continually order the lasagna which I protect from incoming forks. Nor can you go wrong with the spaghetti, which sounds simple, because it is, but it's also simply delicious. Service, ambiance, hospitality, great food, Gallo is five star!

Highest quality good. Only complaint was the Caesar salad was not traditional. More of a ranch anchovies be real coddled egg worsteshire . Maybe it's what ridgefield people want but prefer a full on table side Il tinello nyc Caesar. Otherwise the pizza and pasta were of the highest quality and the two ladies serving at the bar were just lovely. Good job Rafael

So disappointed - I had been here a couple of weeks ago and chose to come back for my birthday last night. The service, though she was pleasant, was beyond slow and forgetful - we were served appetizers at different times, forgotten parts of the meal and cocktails altogether. The spaghetti, done in the wheel, was overcooked, bland and mushy. The best part of the meal was the seafood crepe. The Rest was average and not something any of us would order again. The man at the table on the end did not stop speaking - loudly - for the entire time we were there. Honestly, it was obvious and should have been addressed - it was extremely unpleasant. While I would try the restaurant again, maybe on a better night than Wednesday, I wouldn't rush back...too many other notable places that work harder for the win.
