The place was packed and we were happy to get a table, as they don't take reservations. Drinks, food, service all very good. Keep in mind, it is basically a pub kinda place with many great food options. We had fun and enjoyed our dinners. We will return!

If you like burgers or quasi diner food this is your kind of place. Can get a little loud depending on the time you go .

One of our favorite local place! Diverse menu, cozy and welcoming, and affordable -- especially for Ridgefield. Don't sleep on brunch! Great vibe day and night, indoors and out.

I needed a place to grab a bite and wait out traffic and discovered one of my new favorite places. Great laid back atmosphere and not too loud, and one of the best burgers I've had in ages (the Black&Blue). I'll definitely be back.

Great food. Great selection on the menu for a gastro pub. Beer selection is good. Good plaxw to catch a game at the bar or sit in a cozy setting and eat some comfort food. Chicken wings are noteworthy and the chicken pot pie is better than my wifes. Varied menu makes you want to come back to try all the things.

Cute atmospheric vibe. Not stuck up and good food. Service was great as well as beer selection. Prices a bit high, but it's less than others in the area so take it as a plus. Would to back often if I lived in the area but am glad I found it when I'm around that way for next time.

Food, service and ambience is amazing. Classic pub/tavern feel. Extensive menu. Plenty of options including a vegetarian section, lighter side section and all your classic pub food. Just note that there are probably 30 parking spots and they will fill fast when it’s busy. We did come at 6 on a Friday and found probably the last spot.FOOD - We shared ten Buffalo wings which were extra spicy! Then my husband had the Balboa sandwich with the best crispy thin sweet potato fries, while I had the mini meatball stroganoff (had at least ten meatballs!) with garlic bread and a Caesar salad side. The picture does not do it justice. The portion was HUGE. All was DELICIOUS. Didn’t need to add any salt or pepper to my stroganoff. Can’t wait to have it again, and for such a great price!SERVICE - Johnny was our server. He was so friendly, with a smile on his face at all times. He was very attentive and had great suggestions for beer and food. You can tell he loves his job! We look forward to seeing him again!

The Hideaway is truly a gem hidden in Ridgefield. Every single time I have had the pleasure of dining here, the gentleman bartender has greeted me by name.I always feel like there is a warm welcome, a fun atmosphere, and delicious food. You can not go wrong with a single item on their menu.I always recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a casual, yet delicious meal. :)

Honestly, the meal was barely passable. I had nachos with beef. It looks like they used the chili, which would have been OK, but it was very watery, which made the chips sofmggy very quickly. My wife had the chili as a soup and found it to be bland and watery and the chips stale. The shrimp was ok and we had two more apps that weren't memorable. We had two other people with us and they were in agreement. The service was slow, but they did warn us it would be as they waitresses are covering tables inside and outside. We asked for a last round of drinks and a few of us used the restroom and paid the tab while we were inside. We got back to the table to discover one of the drinks never arrived. Parking is hard to fund. Overall, the the was hopping and the energy level was good, but the food needs to be improved and they need to increase staffing on busy nights.

So… it’s complicated. We go here all the time because it’s close and like the food. For the most part, food has always been good, but we stick to our favorites. But the thing that really makes us think twice about coming back is the service. The staff is friendly, nothing outstanding but that’s ok, we don’t need to be doted on. It’s the closing times that are honestly the worst, they close at 10pm, but if you happen to be in the dining room at 9pm, sometimes 8:30, you will undoubtedly be surrounded by chairs up on the tables before you’ve even gotten your food. The music shot off and all you can hear is the conversation between the last remaining bar guest and bartender, usually discussing politics loudly. We would come here more and enjoy it if they would just take some care in the guest experience. Sitting around eating your meal while chairs are going up is terrible, and ultimately bad hospitality.
