We checked the hours on google and their website which both said they are open until 10pm and decided to walk down. Got there at 822 and was told they were closed. So if you are hoping to head there after dinner, maybe call ahead to see if they are open because they don't seem to update their "new hours" online.

One of my favorite places to go in the summer is Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard. This place sells soft serve custard, Italian ice, and specialty creations. Be sure to sample a few flavors because some of their flavors may shock you. I have never seen such a large variety of Ice flavors. They serve everything: cotton candy, strawberry colada and unicorn just to name a few of the more surprising flavors! They also have fast service and allow you to try different flavors. My favorite item to order is the gelati: layers of Italian ice and custard. My favorite to mix are mango Italian ice and vanilla custard. However, you're also able to order a cup of just Italian ice or a cup of just custard. You may want to ask for extra containers so that it's easy to take your dessert home or to a cute location to enjoy!

I don't know if they're changing the formula, but it wasn't too flavorful. I have high hopes for you guys so don't disappoint me again.

Have to say unfortunately I was very disappointed because I went on the website and did research on the different Italian ice flavors and custard flavors to know exactly what I wanted when I got there to make a Galaiti (which I was excited about because I've never had one).... Only to find out that they did not have the cheesecake custard that I was hoping for which threw off my whole game plan. The girl who served me was nice and seemed sympathetic when I asked about the Cheesecake custard, so I got over it and ended up ordering the cantaloupe Italian ice and watermelon, Italian ice and a small cup, which was still good, but felt as if a lot of the flavors advertised online or not actually available at the location. Not a fan of the parking and set up of the location especially if you're going at night and having to walk where cars are driving through to get back to your car in the parking lot.

isn't a Rita's establishment in Lake Compounce for me to review. However, assuming that this is a chain, I hope the management will take note of my experience. Today, around 1:30 PM, my family and I decided to treat ourselves with ice cream/slushy amidst the summer heat. Unfortunately, the girl at the counter was completely overwhelmed with a long queue. It was surprising that there weren't more staff members to handle the crowd. What's worse, I discovered a piece of a bee/hornet inside my cup. This certainly calls for improvement in your service. Please strive for better

We ordered the mango icy and the strawberry coconut icy and they both taste so delicious it was a nice drive and you just go into the back and park the car and go to the front and walk through really convenient office on Austin highway friendly customer service and staff very nice lady I enjoyed it I see is really delicious very homemade highly recommend anyone to stop by at Rita's to get your icees they also sell milkshakes and other ice cream highly recommend to quench your thirst for the summer ⛱️? my daughter loves her ice Love my ? ? icee..
